best carrier for 4 month old, 7kg baby to sleep in?

Is there a type of carrier that a 4 month old baby who weighs around 7kg (that's a guess of what she will weigh by then) could be comfy in for long stretches, including sleeping in during the daytime?

We are planning a trip overseas around then. We won't have a pram for at least some of it, maybe for all of it. So I'm worrying about how we'll cope with DD being jetlagged and pramless. Currently she can sleep in the pram wherever we are, but she's never come close to sleeping in the wrap when I have carried her in it. Maybe because I'm doing it wrong? I'm not really sure what to expect, but she doesn't really relax much in the wrap when we use it.

I have a borrowed didymos wrap that is the most successful carrier I've tried (I discarded the borrowed Baby Bjorn untried, I couldn't get the ring sling to work at all). So far I haven't used it for longer than about 20 minutes. After that I find it tends to work loose and she gets uncomfy, and I end up having to support her more and more until I untie it. Clearly we need more practise, but I'm not sure how long we can stretch it.

Any suggestions? More practise with the wrap? Another carrier we should try? What worked for your baby to sleep in, when they were around that age or size?

    Thanks!

I made myself a Karma sling, just google it, the pattern is free. Nate loves it and I wear it for long stratches no worries. It works for different carries and the fabric only cost me $4 - best investment i ever made.

The Close Carrier is amazing for long time wear, and my almost 6 month old falls asleep in it every time!!!

Just have a look on youtube, its shows a demo of it....

When she falls asleep against my chest, I just pull some of the strap over her head. (You'll see what I mean!) It keeps off sun, rain, bright lights etc....

I love it, and dont leave the house without it.
