Advice required!!
I've just used a Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test and got a Not Pregnant result however when I removed the cartridge (as soon as the Not Pregnant result flashed up) there was a clear second line, not as dark as the control line but clearly visible all the same. I've never used these tests before and wondering if they work on the same basis as other pregnancy tests, does the second line indicate a positive result??![]()

Thanks for the quick responses ladies!
Leaha, I did a quick search and didn't see that thread, woops!
Ella_Bear, You're right it does at the very top of the instructions leaflet, I read through it twice and still missed it![]()
Do any other pregnancy tests pick up LH? I've had a really (really) faint positives using First Response over the last two days. Maybe I'm ovulating?? I have no idea where I am in my cycle and the suspense is killing me! grrr I'm terribly impatient![]()

OPKs test for LH don't they?
Rach - hehe don't worry about missing it in the leafletmaybe give it a couple of days and then re-test with 1st response again (i got my BFP with this brand and i was only 6dpo and yes the line was faint, but very much there!) - i think the digital tests are only good if you are later in your cycle? (well that's what i found!) - do you know when AF was/is due?
Hi,
I had a friend who used one of those digital tests and it came up positive, then she took one of the standard HPT and it said negative (taken on the same day, same time). As it turned out the digital one was wrong. Although most of the time they must be fairly reliable, I wonder if the traditional ones are the best? To be brutally honest, I haven't really heard anything good about the digital ones.
By the way, she is now happily 31 weeks pregnant so even if the initial result isn't the one you want, there is still hope!![]()
you are not to check the lines on the digital tests and they work differently.
i used them.
got a PREGNANT and was- at 10 DPO
I used traditional POAS tests and kept getting negative results. I bought the digital ones and got a PREGNANT, this was done 3 days before my period was due. I looked at the test strip and it had 2 lines on it.
I would use the digital ones again over the usual POAS.
Thanks to all of you for your feedback, it's interesting that so many people have different experiences. I used First Response with my last pg and they worked great, anyway I'll patient and retest in a few days. Thanks again![]()
I didnt like the digital preg test.
They are heaps more expensive, and your not supposed to pull them apart, the two lines underneath dont mean the same thing as other tests.
Also the pregnant reading disappears after a short time. I liked to keep looking at the double lines on the other brands, i wish the digital ones kept the word pregnant on the test!
