The last quarter payment will be when your payments have been reconcilled and all usage provided by the child care centre. So if you or your partner need to lodge a tax return the rebate will not occur until then.

I get mine quarterly. It's usually sometime around the middle of the following month. So it shouldn't be far off Sugardust Thats if you get yours quarterly too.

    :yeahthat:

Your actual income needs to be determined, so that FAO know if you have been over or underpaid CCB, before you CCTR can be determined and paid for the last financial year.

So until your tax return(s) are processed you probably wont recieve it.

I only just got mine last week for the jan-march quarter. But then in the quarter before that I got it about a month after the last quarter ended...so much quicker than this time.
It has to do with your child care provider and how quick they are to lodge their informartion with the FAO. They actually have a really long time to do it in, although I think that may have changed from this month. It is annoying though, because I would love a rough guide on when to expect it in the bank!! I thought that might happen at the end of the financial year for the last quarter...thats makes sense too, so you don't get overpaid.

That's right. The first/second/third quarter are all paid based on your family tax benefit estimate, so the final quarter can not be paid until your income is confirmed.

Does it get paid automatically by FAO once both partners have lodged their tax return? Or do you have to apply to FAO for it? My tax has been done and I've received my return but DH only just did his yesterday. I assume it will be a month or so after he receives his return that the FAO will send out the CCTR (assuming they do it automatically)?

The cut off dates for childcare centres to finalise usage was 31st July as all usage is done weekly now by most services. But due to the end of financial year they were given a month to fix up any errors such as absences, extra days etc. so after this week the childcare services can't change anything from last financial year, (at least that;s my interpretation of it anyway )

it can take up to 14 days from when you lodge your get your notice of assesment to when FAO get your info. CCB and CCR would be issued within two working days IF all info from parents AND child care centres have been received. some child care centres may not have been moved to the new system yet (most have) - in which case they still have up to three months to provide usage statements. very few would take that long cos they don't get paid their CCB until they provide them

well I don't get a rebate (pay full fees), only lodged my tax with the acct yesterday and wake up this morning and CCB is in my account. I know my tax hasn't been lodged with ATO yet, so maybe that's cos I pay full fees?
