    lost

well i'll start from the start, me and my Dh had been TTC for about 4mths and recently we just got married. WE were so happy and enjoying our honeymoon, I decided to take a HPT after DH and I both had dreams that I was pregnant. So I did and there was a second line, it was feint but definitely there, we were so happy that finally it happened but then I decided to poas the next morning, only to find the line was now even feinter. I kept telling myself that that meant nothing but the following day I started spotting and then bleeding. Bleeding was lighter then normal period but went for longer, but no pain nothing. I have no Idea what was normal to lose a baby at approx 4weeks, so figured when I got back from my honeymoon i'd go and see the Dr, my GP has moved so had to see someone else, she was hopeless and gave me no info just did a quantatative BHCG at my request and away I went home. I waited a few days for my results as everytime I rang, the DR still hadn't reviewed them, got my results today- and all they said was- not pregnant. Is that all you are going to tell me I thought, what now? So was the misscarriage complete or what, how do I know? am I right to start TTC again?? why was I not told anything and left to be in this lost world. At first I thought I was ok about it atleast knowing I could get pregnant, but now i'm just lost. Don't know what to think or what to feel....just lost.

Hi em. I posted to you in another thread, but I just wanted to reiterate that I am so sorry hun. I've been where you are and it truly sucks, especially when in the search for answers, you get nothing back. All I can say is that you should be kind to yourself now, and maybe do something special to remember your angel bub, and start trying again when you're ready. Thinking of you. Xx

hi em,your story, sadly is pretty much what happens with early miscarriages, the med proffesion dont really care or want to know.
you know you were pregnant, for however briefly that was, you have still lost something that you wanted for with all your heart.
Im not a doctor, but I would be pretty confident about TTC straight away, unless you develop a fever (indication of infection) or start bleeding very heavily (soaking a pad in an hour) I would assume that your body has done the cleaning out process (sorry if that sounds harsh) properly itslef.
Good luck TTC, I hope you get a BFP really soon. In the mean time, dont feel like your loss was insignificant, a loss is a loss, take the time to grieve and talk, either on here or with your partner. Big hugs, so sorry for your little angel. xx

I had a similar thing happen in January Em. If the bleeding stops and you have no pain then you're fine to TTC again, if you start to have pain or bleeding heavily go and get a referral for an U/S to check for retained product (hate these terms the medical profession use!). I had to have a d&c in '06 (loss was at 7 weeks) but in January my body completed the process itself (loss was at 4weeks)

GL with your TTC journey, lots of babydust to you and your DH.

I lost one at 16wks it was still called early pregnancy and the drs didn't care even though I had a tiny baby in my arms. I was treated horribly and then they buggered up my surgery and I nearly died twice. Don't let anyone tell you because it was "early pregnancy" that it doesn't hurt. It does and it just shows how much of a caring person you are.

I'd go see a different doctor and explain to them what happened, they may send you for an ultrasound to make sure that it is 'complete' or if not at least maybe give some antibiotics just incase, last thing you want is an infection while TTC.

I was told after losing Dylan to wait one menstral cycle then I was free to try again. I was told the most common reason for m/c so early is that it did not implant properly or there was something wrong with the baby. They told me to drink plenty of water, keep folate, iron and vitamins up and to avoid caffiene at all costs.

I have my fingers and toes crossed you get another little baby soon that sticks around for you xoxo

Take care of yourself, and never blame yourself.

thanks so much everyone, i'm getting there I think. Didn't realise it would have such a big impact on me but it has, and thing is it took awhile to hit me. But moving on now(well at the moment anyway), just the not knowing why kinda gets to me. But I guess i'll just have to move on without knowing.
