Hello everyone!
My name is Stacey Felix and I am a first year Midwifery student at Flinders University, South Australia. During my three year course I am to be actively involved in thirty women throughout their pregnancy, birth and postnatal experience. I am to go along with you to 3 antenatal appointments, be at your child's birth (if possible!
) and also see you after the birth.
I will not replace your Midwife or Doctor, I am simply there to observe and learn! My aim is to provide you with someone who will be there for you throughout your journey and to be a "familiar face" who will remain by your side during your labour and birthing experience. Remember that you are in charge and can decide what you would like to share with me. The aim is to provide continuity of care (a familiar person who will be there with you before, during and after your birth) and to learn how to support women and their families during this amazing time!
