| | middle name to go with Amelia
So DH and I have finally settled on a Amelia for our little girl. I really wanted Elizabeth as I've always wanted a Beth but Beth doesn't go with our surname (one syllable starting with D).
I'd appreciate any suggestions on middle names. A couple of ideas we have are Kaye, which is my middle name and my mum's. I had always planned on using Kaye as a middle name, but now am not so sure about continuing to a 3rd generation. Although I do like the sound of Amelia Kaye.
Another option was Beth, as I thought it would be a good compromise, but DH really seems to hate it.
Other family names are May and Ann but I don't really like either of these with Amelia. I seem to be stuck on one syllable names too, so any suggestions of longer names would be good.

You could also expand Beth to Bethany Hth

I think it should be a one syllable name, considering Amelia has a few, so something like
Jane
Ann
Rose
Claire (Can be spelt Clare or Clair)
Grace
Lee

My niece is Amelia Michelle after my mums 1st name.
I like Amelia Kaye but also have the same middle name as my mum and am thinking i am not really a fan of passing it on to DD2 when she's born, not sure why just doesn't feel right.
Amelia Lee
Mae instead of May
Charlotte
Louise
Georgia HTH, GL it's not easy, still sorting through names for DD2

My DD1 is Amelia Grace.
Amelia May is nice, and I also think if you have a one sylable surname you could manage a longer middle and first name, Bethany would be good in my opinon.

Thanks so much for all the suggestions. I love the sound of Amelia Grace, but my name means 'grace' so it feels a little weird. Will see what DH thinks.

Seeing Amelia can become Milly, Ann sounds nice with both.

I wanted Amelia Grace with DD and would love it this time too (although DH disagrees). I think its sweet that your name means Grace and it's DD's middle name! GL with it all!

If I was allowed to use Amelia (it's my fave but can't get DH to change his mind) I would go with Amelia Louise
Louise is both my SIL and my Sisters middle name
