Default FDC ~ North/Eastern Adelaide

I have been trying to find a FDC, and I am looking from Mawson Lakes around to Stoneyfell (so big area), I have been looking on the Care 4 Kids website and have found a couple but theya re full and hadn't updated their details one is calling me back for an interview this week, then I think a visit and face to face kinda interview to see if she likes us!!

Does anyone know of any other ways to find FDC?

Thanks heaps... we might be having to use CC until FDC becomes available but will put those questions in another thread!!

The main FDC scheme in metro SA is run by DECS. I live in the north eastern burbs and the Family Day Care office that I go through is in Felixstowe. Their phone number is 8366 8720. They will ask you where you live and depending on where that is, they will either have carers close to you or they will give you the phone number for the Office that covers your area.

There is also a list of FDC schemes here.

No there are heaps of carers, I'm currently working my way through a list of about 8 ladies in the immediate suburbs around me. Good luck, don't be afraid to say if a particular is not suitable for you or your child, no matter what the reason is. They will find someone else for you!

I now have a list of 6, although one I don't think is suitable as they only go to 1pm on the days I want. I will call them and see, and at least the CC I went to today was quite good (I was happy) so I will have that as a back up, thankyou for your quick responses!!
