Default Acupuncture & Chinese Herbs success stories?

Hi All,

I've started acupuncture and chinese herbs following a m/c in April, and am now ready to start ttc.

just wondering how many of you out there have had good experiences with acu and chinese herbs?

Thanks

hi there

i went for a/c for the first time about 5 days before i was due to O. my cycle was quite long & i normally didn't O until about day 19. the a/c suggested that i be aware it could take a number of treatments over the coming months for my cycle to become more regular and prescribed herbs that were to improve my general wellbeing & did a/c to help my cycle & stress levels.

she also suggested we may like to wait to ttc until things settled down but that was the cycle we conceived so i like to think of it as a positive/success story! - even though i can't trace any changes over time because it happened so quickly. the herbs made me feel fantastic (i couldn't stop smiling!). i went back a few weeks later after i got a BFP and while i had a/c, i didn't have more herbs - the a/c said she preferred to let the PG take it's course & wouldn't worry about herbs until later in PG unless i had specific concerns such as a previous loss or m/s.

good luck - i hope you have the same positive experience

I've just started a course of ap and chinese medicine to help regulate my periods. I also wasn't getting any (or not noticeable) ewcm. So far I have been more relaxed and just a few days ago got ewcm!

So far so good, fingers crossed for the bfp this month.

I am a HUGE advocate of this...
when TTC my 1st son it took me a year. my cycles were all over the place - 14 weeks, 8 weeks, 10 weeks - the shortest cycle was 6 weeks. I didnt use any TCM at this stage but was going to do so if I didnt fall preg soon. I did use acu at the end of my preg for labour prep and I had a fabulous 4 hour labour and a speedy recovery.
When TTC my 2nd son I did turn to TCM and acupuncture. I had not had AF back since I had my son (had just stopped bfeeding about a month before). I had a session and got my period 1 week later. I then had a 30 day cycle and then got preg the next cycle. I found the acupuncture and herbs helped me immensly with this. I also continued seeing my practitioner for the 1st tri for support and to help with nausea and fatigue - this was great. I then went back to her around week 34 for weekly visits (labour prep again and also to help with back pain - fantastic). I gave birth 9 days ago at 39 wks (Same as my 1st son).
I think it is def worth giving it a go - I also found her advice on supplements etc thru the preg was fantastic.

Last year I had acupuncture and chinese herbs once a week for 6 months. Unfortunately it did not help me get pregnant, although I did get some improvements in my cycle.

I hope it works for you.

We had been trying for 18 months without any luck. I then went to the a/c and fell within 3 cycles!
Sooooo GOOD LUCK!
