Default Progesterone levels

Hi everyone,
Just wondering if anyone has any info bout progesterone levels. I am on my first cycle of clomid (50mg) and I got the results of my day 21 bloodtest (well it was actually day 20) My progesterone was 41. is that a good level? do you think it could be high enough to suggest pregnancy? Does clomid make your progesterone levls different to if I had ovulated without it?
thanks, the wait it driving me crazy! I probably should test in 1 week but I know ill not be able to wait till then but dont want to get my hopes up!

hi

your prog level is great over 30 i think means you ov'd

i a sure the level can be different with each cycle. i have had mine checked a few times over the years the first time it was 90 and i later found i was utd with my DS.
two other times they were 59 and 75 with no pregnancy. don't put too much store in the fact that the first one was the highest as i found out years later that i o very early (cd 10/11) and that level was taken on cd 21 (so not the usual dpo 7 but dpo 10 and the baby had probably already implanted !). the other two levels were done more recently and were done on dpo 7. do you know when you o'd?
i don't know if the clomid makes the level any different i would suggest not.
best of luck, i too am in the TWW. starting to feel the stress
hth

im just over 7 weeks pregnant and my progesterone level at 6 weeks was only 25! so 41 is a good sign i guess! it all boils down to the dreaded wait and the HCG level. good luck!

A level of 41 indicates that ovulation occured. A progesterone level will not tell you if you are pregnant or not. I have had a level of 100ish and not been pregnant. With my last pregnancy my level was 150 at 7 dpo. I did conceive that cycle (Imogen) but the multiple follie ripenings is what put the progesterone so high.

It's just a waiting game now for you - but take heart that you did ovulate.

Hi all, thanks heaps for your help! just driving me crazy, I am forcing myslf not to test yet!
Teddy - I think I ovulated on day 15 because I had really bad pain that night and was very tender so beacuse I had my bt on day 20 that means it was 5 days later.

great erybery, that just tells me your prog on dpo 7 may have been a touch higher but not enough to worry about you are well above the average/"normal" range.

so you are dpo 11 today?

i am only dpo 6.

i have decided not to test until AF is late. to many BFN's lately for me

for both of us
