Nadine you are a crack up! I am not too good on the drinking water front. At work, no worries but at home, I just forget (and I'm not back at work until July next year). I am going to make an effort to drink much more water (actually went and got a glass just now).
Epacris - I like how you measure. I often put on my favourite jeans to see how I'm going but still can't do them up
I saw Oprah today and Bob Greene was on talking about his weight loss/eating right plan and Oprah gives herself a time to stop eating which is 7.30pm. Not one little anything after that. She also said when you get the feeling that you could have a little something after dinner, it is the fat cells saying 'eat me, eat me'. I like that and that's what I'll think about when I get the hungries after dinner. Eat the fat cells my little pretties

Oh COUNT ME IN!! I need some motivation!! I have 3.1kg to lose to my goal weight (tho I'm quite happy to lose 7.1kg to be where I really ought to be!!
Ideally, the 3.1 before christmas would be great!! I'll have to think of the rewards later, and I'll submit measurements tomorrow! Where would one find their waist/hips? Is there a particular spot?

I really need to do this. I joined the one mid year but due to family illnesses and my dad's passing my ME TIME seemed to take a back seat.
I can't promise to log in every week as i am off on holidays in a few weeks but DH and I are stating to get back on the fitness track and if i have to log in with you guys as well as the Wii I might just try that bit harder.
My goal from last time was 5.5kg i think, so i will stick with that. I am trying to get to 65kg (ATM i am 71.5kg ), although would be happy with 67kg as a start.
Do i need to PM my details or just put them on here?
Thanks

Well just did my measurements - the bust is great ... but I think that is cause I'm BFing still...
Here they are
bust 105cm
wiast 95cm
hips 106 cm
and my biggest part... thighs/bum a whopping 118cm!!!
But I have been really good drinking a lot more water and eating less, and exercising... so I'll measure again next week and see how I go!

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! What a work-out!! I feel like a kazillion dollars, I even wore my heels today
I'm cheating and getting on the scale every morning, it's not looking good, because I'm not losing any weight ???? BUT I'm not cheating on the eating and I'm drinking the water, so don't know what is up with that. Going to stop weighing each morning.
We did some seriously wicked ab exercises (my favorite) and then did some awesome kicks, upper-cuts, elbows and round-kicks. AWESOME I'm fitter than I thought AND I'm kicking DH's butt Poor dude is sweating and panting through the whole class and barely getting his legs up for the kicks. But he has not had a decent work-out in 1.5 years!!
I'm not as sore as I thought I would be, I can feel my abs when I move, but it's not that call-911 stiffness. My legs even feel better than yesterday.
Today I'm hungry. Don't know why? So I'm upping my water intake to try and coax me away from the take-away across the road. BUT I promised myself that if I go throught this week without cheating, I may have a Magnum White Almond ice-cream on Sunday afternoon and my willpower is strong. They just came out after I started my diet on Monday go figure, and Magnum Almond are my all time fave ice-cream.
Hi too Ginger, Jas, Scones (your username is just too long to type ) and Kas
Kas - sorry about your dad (hug)
Tinsel - EAT ME!! That is something to think about. I have a no-eat-after-8pm rule thing, but I do have my hot milk just before bed ... that's not eating Quote: |

| Your waist is your thinnest part of your tummy, over the belly button. And your hips are the widest part of you bootie, so not really where your hipster jeans sit, a bit lower, like there where they need to go over a bump (for me) to get at were they sit. Make sense??
Ok you lot. Have a wonderfull evening

Hi,
I'm back, I just thought hey I should go for a walk and then went crap its 10pm!
I recently lost about 5kgs over a couple of weeks and all I did was stop buying chocolate and chips so that was cool so I'm not ao much on a real strict diet I am nmore trying to change my lifelstyle and eating habits beck toi what they used to be so I gues for me I really want to (in no order)-
1. Drink more water
2. Go back to healthy eating habits to feel better, have moer energy and really importantly show my kids healthier eating habits!
3. Get some excercise time in, the boys are asleep by 7pm so I could go for a walk after that

I'm soooo sore today!
We've been doing walking & pilates. Our pilates is usually a post birth one (has exercises for SPD, which I still have probs with), & another floor work out with a circle thing (no idea what it is! lol).
Anyway, yesterday we do the post birth 4 months onwards, then in the arvo a full on 20 minutes fat blasting routine....OUCH!
My back, hips, ankles & shoulders are killing me! Oh I got AF today too, so pain is magnified by 10! Plus cramps...feeling a tad sorry for myself
So we had a day off today. Back to it tomorrow. Love the fat blasting pilates, so I think we'll try to do that often...just gotta find a happy medium with our boys...breast feeding & pilates don't mix! Lol!
Nadine, I'm refusing to weigh/measure til Tuesday! 1 week on Tuesday. Well I might weigh tomorrow...I'm gonna try to get a better set of scales - more accurate |

BJrose and Nadine- awesome work on the exercise!
BJ you will probably notice that the exercise and diet will help with cramps for AF after a couple of months. Which is a big woo hoo! I was getting shocking cramps since having DS but over the past 6 months since becoming a lot more active I hardly feel a thing.
Well I have had bad luck lately with injury (2 rolled ankles and a broken thumb in the last month) and have had to miss soccer which is my fav exercise. But went the physio today and it was so good. Got lots of activities to strengthen mu ankle muscles and should be back into soccer next Friday (but not tomorrow - boo hoo!) and I am right to start doing some of my other forms of exercise like cycling and low impact aerobics. So not expecting any loss when I weigh in on Saturday but can at least look forward to some good workouts in the coming week and hopefully a nice loss on the next weigh in.
Bye girls!

Waist Hips - I have been told measure waist where your elbows sit and hips where your wrists sit, with your arms straight down side of body IYKWIM.
I joined the midyear but couldn't get online for motivation after my laptop carked it so am really interested in joining this one. I will have to double check my weight but I think I have put on this week because we were slack.
My biggest hurdle is that I work full time at KFC and often dont have the opportunity to take lunch to work... it really is a huuuuge hurdle. Either not eat or eat bad. We've been working on it and will be stocking up on some lean cuisnes for me to take with me.
We just bought a cross trainer which is good although the effects on the metabolism are a little wearing. I find it hard enough to stop eating when i am eating breakfast (I know it is a major metabolism kickstart for me) but now with the cross trainer.... I have been aiming to drink at least 1.25L of water at work a day which normally ends up being 2.5-3L. depending on how much money I have... we can't drink the town water here so anything other than my drink bottle is 2.65 per bottle and not really worth it. My body suffers at home because I forget to refill the bottle and forget to drink.
In total I have 40 kilos to lose but 10kg by Christmas/New Year will be a great start. My first goal is to get to 97kg as that is what I weighed in Nov 08 before I went to hospital.

actually feeling a bit sore from the work outs - yay! I've also been really good with the food. just eating meals and my snacks have been small and healthy - with fruit. Water is being drunk regularly.
CM - well done - working at KFC must be very hard. But you have made a great start!
krysalyss - ouch, those injuries sound painful. good on you for still exercising... I would give up - possibly why I'm chubby!
BJrose - pilates in your house sounds so much fun!
Ok, off to drink more water cause I feel hungry - good luck for the weekend everyone!

I lost my legs somewhere between kick # 734092347 and jab # 438982364
But I loved every second. I think I may have overdone it a bit, because my right thigh feels like I streched something. Luckily I have the weekend to rest it.
I'm holding up on the eating department too. I should probably cut down on the fruitjuices but it gives me that sugar that I crave after a meal.
Jas - DH is eating like that now, not diet, just cutting out all the ekstras and only eating one plate per meal etc. He's feeling better already. He used to drink 2lt of Coke A DAY AND 4 Redbulls He have not had any Coke or RB this whole week. I'm proud of him.
Bjrose - nice going for the fat burn pilates. I have never done pilates, but somehow I don't think it will sit with my idea of a work-out. I need sweat, heavy-metal music and some finely toned instructer shouting " YOU CAN DO IT " And I agree with exercise helping AF cramps. I did not even know about AF when I was fit before dd.
Krysalyss - Bummer on the injury. As long as you keep moving and motivated, it won't get you down.
CM - I tried your waist/hip stance .. and yeah, my elbows are at my navel (smallest part of my waist) and my wrists lay nicely on the top of my saddlebags (biggest part of my butt). EEEEEKKK about working at KFC. Sending you steel willpower vibes!! TheBear represent away
Off to my first diet weekend. Tonight we are having calamari (fried ) and salad. I told DH that I'm only going to eat 6 pieces and fill up on the salad and beetroot and have a fat free yoghurt for dessert. Not to bad.
Goodluck with the weekend everyone!!

Hi everyone. Sounds like you are all going so well.
Tomorrow is the last day of week one. So just to remind you that anyone who wants to get results posted in the summary post should pm them to me (including originals if you haven't already). Otherwise I will likely forget someone as this is far more popular than I thought!
Well weigh day for me tomorrow so fingers crossed. See you all then.
