i posted this in the christianity forum as well but thought this might be a better spot for it. i am pregnant with my first child (7 weeks) and am considering a doula for my birth. my husband and i are both christians and would love it if the doula were a christian too.
if anyone knows of a christian doula in brisbane, please let me know.
Congrats on the Pregnancy. I think it is great that you are looking for a doula with the same beliefs as you. What a difference it could make for you and your husband!
I would love to help you out, but I am on the other side of the country. Best wishes finding someone....if you don't, it might be wise to look around your church for a woman who has experience in/with labour that you could trust to be a support person.
I wouldn't count out a doula who isn't Christian either. Doula's are typically trained to support you no matter what and I have no doubt that your experience with the right person for you will be wonderful.
