Default How are we all?

Hello girls,

this forum has been a little quiet as of late so I thought I would post a new thread to see where everyone was at. We are only a few months off starting TTC so very excited. We have been naughty and bought a few baby things but didn't go silly, just a few jumpsuits and things for our 'babybox'. I think it starts making you feel more positive that things are starting to happen. I started taking blackmores conceive well vitamins yesterday and today it made me nauseous and I vomitted (sorry to make you sick). I dont know what that was but tomorrow I will see if it happens again. I have been trying to get back into uni work, I have been really slack so today is a big assignment day! We also need to redo our donor agreement, Denise our lawyer told us it was too formal so we had to start over again. We are going to write a statement from myself, Selena and our donor, the reasons why we are going into it and our intentions. Hopefully that will be better. We really have no idea about the law, just want something basic that will cover us or at least help out a fair bit!

A big congrats to Sally2 for their news of expecting a boy, thats great news! You will be starting to get things organised now!

how is everybody else going?

Cheers,

Leanne

Thanks girls, we are rapt!
It was a bit of a shock though, as I was convinced we were having a girl, so when the Ultrasound man saw the little doodle, I was like 'huh? It isn't a girl?' But I had said when we were TTC that I would love a little boy first, cause boys are cuddly and love their Mum's. So, happy with the news and the family is very excited, particularly my Mum!
Went and bought boy outfits yesterday to add to our bits and pieces. Slowly getting organised, but still need the pram & car seat, will get onto that soon....
Hope you get your agreements sorted out so you can focus on ttc!
Hope everyone else is travelling well, would love to hear from Leasha & Shel in particular on how Jazz is going and how cute she is

Hey guys!
Leanne and Selena I'm so excited for you guys!
And Sallys I'm so excited that you're having a boy! Cute
I'm really really happy because I have just talked to the clinic I am getting my donor through and my waiting time has been reduced to just under 5 months (approx), whereas yesterday I still thought it was almost 9 months away! I'm sooooooo excited!

Jazz is doing perfect and is (of course ) absolutely gorgeous! hehe

We are doing really well, the days are flying and today is the longest I've been able to browse BB (granted I fed her an hour ago and typed one handed - and left handed too! - which was tricky!). Shel managed to wrangle more holidays from work, until the 16th so we are spending lots of time together as a family. Jazz is going great, the past few nights she has only woken twice each night,, and only to feed and then fall asleep again. I am still not getting very deep sleep but I can notice the difference compared to when she wanted to be bright eyes in the ugly hours of the night.

Will get around to more photos soon, our camera saves them really large so they need resizing before I can post them and I just don't have to motivation right now! But of course you can see how cute she is by my ticker photo! She is starting to 'wake up' and look around more these days, which is just so adorable. When we sit her next to our big glass doors she looks out the window and watches the branches on the tree sway in the wind, she just loves it. I am breastfeeding, but also expressing, and Shel usually does one feed a day which gives me a bit of a break though it doesn't matter how much expressed milk she has from a botle she still seeks out the boob for a comfort suck and most times to fall asleep. Probably a bad habit to let her get into but shes barely 4 weeks old so I let her go, easier than having an unsettled baby.

Hi everyone!

Its been a little bit quiet in this forum lately, but I guess I cant talk I have been keeping busy myself. I had my day 21 blood test today to see if my progesterone levels are all good to determine that I am actually ovulating. Not worried about that at all but its a good thing to know that everything is working well. I'll ring the doctor tomorrow to check the results and also the results from earlier in the cycle which tested hormone levels and immunity against rubella and chickenpox, if I'm not immune I have time to get a jab before we try getting preggers. Then went to target today and got a couple of little baby goodies for half price cot sheets and muslin wraps, gotta grab them when they are so cheap! Selena and I went over to Magnetic Island with my two sisters last week for 3 nights, it was so nice to get away and enjoy the outdoors for a change. We would so love to live over there, our friends who are a lesbian couple live over there and they have 3 kids, its always so much more fun to go to the beach swimming and things with kids around. hmmm maybe one day when we get rich!We have been going to a few garage sales lately too, the baby stuff people sell at those things is just phenomenal! People just spend so much money on baby things and never use them so we have got a few goodies from those things for next to nothing. I love getting a bargain! Perhaps we are a little overexcited about the whole baby thing and buying things too early but we dont care, we have 3/4 filled up a suitcase with stuff! We wont buy equipment and things, we're not that silly but we do get excited I will say that. Well all of this is just building for our future baby. I hope everybody else is going well. Keep us updated!

Well - I'm on hold for a while - skipping this cycle because my FS has very inconsiderately :P taken 2 weeks off... Just as well though - I'm feeling pretty crook so I wouldn't count on my body to behave itself this cycle. Bring on Nov though!
I'm tempted to change donors, not for any real reason, and not unless they have any new ones since I last sussed out their list... Just seems like - since I'm not paying for many vials in advance, it can't hurt to change in-between - I'm not someone who finds it hard to make decisions like that so I may have a look. I wasn't 100% happy with my choice, but it was the best of what they had... I was hoping for dark hair and eyes, instead of blonde/blue. But that's such a trivial thing - everything else was perfect. So maybe I should stick with the one I have.
But first I have to get well enough to try again! Send 'Get Well Soon' vibes my way alright?

Hoping you get well soon Shades! It sux being sick. Changing donors so soon? As long as you feel 100% positive about it. You never know, f we are both successful we may be belly buddies but who knows! Best wishes for your health!

Just had to share girls....
Felt the first BIG OUTSIDE KICKS tonight! They were amazing, sooo strong, coming from butterflies and little flick kicks last night to MASSIVE THUMPING PUNCHES AND KICKS tonight!
We actually went to the midwives for an appointment today and Sal said 'I really haven't felt the baby move other than butterflies' and the midwife had her hand on her tummy at the time and said 'Baby just kicked now, could you feel it?' and Sal said 'no'.
I have been feeling little flicker kicks as I call them for a couple of weeks, but didn't think they could be squishy, because how could I feel them if Sal couldn't and he's inside her.?? BUT turns out I could feel him but she couldn't.
WELL, she certainly felt him tonight
What a great night......
