Smile Really need some ideas, Pretty please

Ive decided awhile ago that i really would like to makes some cards and something small for all residents at the aged care facility/home my mum works at for christmas.

Its almost like tradition on special occasions, mum use to take us girls and my little brother there to visit the elderly, they just love the company and its so sad the families of some of these residents that never come to see them or hardly at all and they get so lonely

So i wanted to start my own tradition now that i have my DD grace, that every xmas we go up and visit them all and we will make little cards and something small to give them for a gift for xmas

Now heres where i need some help i need some ideas on what i can make them??

i was thinking shortbread decorations?? is that bad to give them? thats all i have so far

thx xx

i think that is a beautiful idea emma. so lovely to do this with your dd too.
shortbread are always nice and you could just do a couple for each person in a bit of red or green celophane(sp?)
they will just appreciate being thought of. thats the main thing.

What a lovely idea, although I'm pretty sure they will appreciate the visit just as much as anything you bring.

Lavendar sachets? The shortbread idea is a good one although make sure they are tiny portions because some of the old dears will be on restricted diets of one type or another.

I think that's abeautiful idea Emma.
Better homes and gardens has some neat little treats and hey it's Christmas - a naughty treat that isn't part of their diet is deserved, isn't it?
