Unhappy Support and wishes needed for SIL

My SIL gave birth to a beautiful baby boy a few hours ago. Two hours after giving birth, the placenta still had not come out and she has lost a massive amount of blood and has had a couple of seizures. The doctors have managed to stabilise her and she has been transferred to the major maternity hospital here and is expected to return to the birthing unit tomorrow. Bubs is doing well and is with his Dad in the birthing unit.

Praying for you SIL, please get better!

Thanks sooo much everyone, it means alot. My brother is quite shaken up, but he and the bub are doing ok. No further news yet about SIL so we can only assume no news is good news.

Just an update...SIL is much better today. They've controlled the bleeding and she is stable. The doctors are still deciding whether she can return to the birthing unit or if they want her to stay another 24 hours at the maternity hospital for obs. If she stays, then my brother and bubs will be transferred to the maternity hospital to be with them. So either way she'll be back with bubs very soon! Thanks again everyone for all your well wishes xox

so glad to hear that your SIL is stabalised - it must have been a very long and stressful night for your family but now you can all get on with enjoying your new bundle of joy.

Great to hear! It certainly takes some of that joy away having a drama doesn't it. I hope that everything is ok now and they can just enjoy the new addition to your family.

Thanks girls. She got transfered back to the birthing unit this afternoon and I got to go and see them. They are doing wonderfully and her little man was having his first breastfeed and taking to it like a champ. She was really worried that he would have trouble considering they were separated for nearly 24 hours. But things are looking great now. Thank you all once again for your support!!
