    Morning Ladies,

Loula, I hope everything went well yesterday. Am thinking of you and hope that this is a new beginning for you. You are amazingly strong even if sometimes you dont feel it - it radiates from your posts. hoping that strength holds up for you, especially now. xx

Cuddlepie, thanks so much for your excitement and support. It means so much. I think this new protocol makes a lot of sense for me too! Time will tell.

dutchie, our AF is due the same day. I'm sorry you'll be on max stims though but hoping it does the trick. The countdown is on!

Toby - welcome, you are in the right place. Vent away, I'm so sorry for what you've been through. We are all here to support you and we completely understand where you are coming from. Dutchie was so right, very few are succesful on their first attempt - I was but lost the baby, so in IVF (like life really) there are never any certainties. Everyone is pregnant around me too - just was told of another this week - it's painful and I understand the feelings you have about it. Hoping your next appt with your FS brings you some new hope.

M2C - thanks for thinking of us! I'm having M2C withdrawals - lol! I hope AF came today so you can get started.

Woulloveabubba - Your poor ovaries!! I know that full ovary feeling, does it hurt when you walk? Sounds like there should be plenty of eggs in there, you've done a great job. Hooray for EPU next week - all the luck in the world to you. It's getting to the business end and I'm excited for you.

Hello to everyone else. enjoy your weekend.

Thank you ladies for your kind words.
    Am feeling better.
M2C - the boss wouldnt let me go 4 days a week so ive extended my long service leave from 4 weeks to 10 weeks at the start of the year. I'm happy with that.

Infinity - sorry to hear about your loss. Is there any reason why not many get a BFP on their 1st IVF attempt?

WLB - im glad the u/s wasnt too bad. It's good that you have a lot of follies

Dutchie - im on the pills too. Ive bought foward my appointment with my shrink for next week. Thank you for your kind words.

hey girls, how is everyone going?

WLB hope you're travelling well, thats fantastic news about your numbers, am praying all goes smoothly this week, will be thinking of you.

Dutchie, how are you feeling this week? Not long now! What dose are you starting with? Hoping we'll all have fabulous news in the next few weeks

M2C hope all is well, have you just started a new cycle?

Infinity, your new protocol sounds interesting and I'm so glad your FS has been so encouraging. Hopefully it will be a easier cycle with a positive outcome!

Loula & Bec my thoughts are with you both, hoping that you're well and in a better place this week xxxxxx

Buliej how are you going honey?

Toby welcome to the forum hope you're feeling better and I'm glad you got a chance to extend your holiday leave.

AFM have been pre-occupied with lawyers and horrible legal stuff, so haven't been able to post. Its been a very emotional time for us and I'm so glad I decided to take a month off. Having said that AF is due tomorrow or Friday (I think) so will be back in the saddle so to speak. I have mixed feelings about this cycle, tired, nervous, angry, excited, so over ttc.... But on a positive note, I wanted to thank you all for the support you've given me, you're such an amazing group of women and I hope all our prayers are answered soon

    Hi all,

M2C - you are more than welcome! I really hope things are on the up for you this week.

Possums - hi, thanks for checking on us. I was so sorry to hear that you have yet more hurdles to overcome. Hope the medication is doing it's job and you are feeling better. xx

Cuddlepie - not sure if you've started your cycle yet but hoping all is going well.

hollybolly - hope your current cycle is going well and the purgeon is not giving you any trouble.

Dutchie - we are nearly ready to go again. I just want to get going now *stamps foot*. for you!

WLB - hoping you have some fab eggs for EPU this week (maybe it's today??) Best of luck, I'm thinking of you. xx

Toby - There is so many reason's why a lot of IVFer's dont get their BFP first go. mostly the first cycle is a trial & error, seeing how you respond - and sometimes it doesn't even result in a transfer. Then if you are lucky enough to get to transfer I think each transfer has a success rate of less than 30% - and that's if EVERYTHING is as it should be! Sometimes I think of just how much has to be exactly right to result in a pregnancy and wonder how anyone gets pregnant at all! It's really an amazing thing.

Anyos - it must be a very traumatic time for you right now. Hoping you get the outcome you are after. I feel the same as you about my upcoming cycle, but have suprised myself that excitement seems to be the emotion that is most predominant.

Loula - thinking of you and hoping you are recovering well.

    HI ladies

thanks for all your thoughts and kind words.

my head is hurting so much and i dont know if it is hormonal, stress, reaction to antibiotics, the fact that i can not get any sleep (and i am trying) or from reducing my predsolone?

I cant even get though the day without forgetting what i was talking about five min earlier! so i will not attempt to do any personnel post (sorry)

Im still experiancing some discomfort and have to say this is the worst recovery from a D&C that i have ever had, i hope this is not an implication that there is either something left or i have developed AS. This was my 6th D&C (i did think it was my 7th but i am pretty sure it is num 6)

I guess i will get to the weekend and see if i am still uncomfortable, then discuss with my FS, sometimes it hurts to walk other times it is a pain on my c scar line (from open ectopic surgery, not birth). the pain is on either side of my belly button an di also have thought maybe this is my uterus shrinking down again????? I am still spotting on and off

    Any suggestions would be welcomed.

GL to all thoese growing eggies - i believe holly and WLAB are the only two.

Wishing you all that long awaited child to ador very soon.

    Hi girls,

WLAB- sending you lots of and I hope your EPU went well and you have lots of eggs! Wishing you the very best for your TF.

infinity- woohoo not long to go now hun thanks for the sending you lots of and too, I'll be cheering you on. Hoping to get a Sept cycle in but I might have to sit it out and do an Oct cycle instead due to financial reasons- so annoying grrr...I so want to be cycling yesterday too! especially with the changes to the safety net in Jan.

anyos- feeling not too bad atm, I'm just hoping I have the funds in time to do a Sept cycle or else I'll have to wait another month which sux big time but what can you do...hoping we can still be cycle buds though. I'll start on the maximum dose of 450 which is the usual for me and I'll be on clomid next cycle too. What dose do they have you on hun?

M2C- Thinking of you always sweets, I hope your travelling well. I've posted in your blog hun. I'm hoping I can do a Sept cycle but as I mentioned earlier may have to put it off until Oct because of that root of all evils...money. So frustrating but I guess that's how the cookie crumbles.

toby- Glad to hear your feeling better and that you have been able to increase your long service leave that's something atleast. Wishing you the best for your FS appt.

Loula- Sorry to hear you are so uncomfortable after d&c, hoping it will ease soon for you. Thinking of you.

A big to Holly, Possums, CPie, Bec and Bridget, hope your all well and apologies if I've missed you.

    Hello loverlie ladies

Loula; I hope your pain is settling, and you dont wait until Monda to go to the gp to get checked, you really have had a hard month or two and things can only get better from here

Infinity; I love your new cycle and think it is a very good idea, I am going with that approach if I need to in the future, they are quite big on that type of cycle for older women on the american chat rooms

mum2c; I think from your sig your af has started, if so, I hope it made it in time to start your cycle this month

toby; how old are you sweets? tell us a bit more about your art history, if you feel like it, I hope you are feeling better as the days go on

anyos; how are you travelling, have you got your legal stuff sorted,

Hi to Bulliej, Possums, Cpie, Bec and Holly (so sorry if I have missed anyone)

AFM; EPU went well, thank you for all your well wishes. 27 eggs picked up, our first time using ISCI, so I am nervous to hear our fert results later this afternoon, I know it's a lot of eggs, and I dont want to seem ungrateful, I just need that golden egg, and am praying it's in this little basket. Going for a Blast transfer x 2 next Monday

Loula, I am so sorry to hear the difficult time you've been having, that really sux! As if the fact m/c is not heartbroken enough, you have to endure the uncomfortableness afterwards. I hope time will help to heal the wounds hun...just a big squashy hug

Cpie, thank you for your support.

You have two frostie's like me, and I was wondering why your delaying doing a fet, is it because you want to bank frosties (hopefully) ?

Kind of...now we have the deadline of Jan 2010, who know what changes will bring?! So I thought I'd prefer to do another stim cycle by the end of the year to take the advantage of the safety net. Also because it will be my 1st cycle with Dr S using immune suppressive therapy, he suggested to do a full stim cycle which he said has best chance. I have to say it did cross my mind that why can't I do a FET using this therapy but again I read in Dr Alan Beer's book that high NK cells could affect the quality of the eggs, so I am keen to see any difference from this cycle.

Oh I am feeling sad after the nurse's phone call

6 fertilising after 17 inseminated is not the result I was hoping for

They have left me in waiting with the report on the other 5 slow growers until tommorow

I need to get to Blast - and at my last cycle I had 12 fert and only had 3 viable Blasts

Im loosing my mojo for IVF

WLB hang in there honey, 6 fertilising is fantastic news and you might have 11 by tomorrow! Am sure you'll get to Blastie stage, will be thinking of you tomorrow fingers & toes crossed xxxx

Dutchie we're in the same boat re funds, but thankfully part of my redundancy might come through soon. I think I'm on 300 Puregon and a higher dose of the trigger. I've also been on DHEA for 3 months now so hopefully that will make a difference. Hope we can be cycle buds

Infinity thank you for you kind words. It is hard but we're nearly there, we'll hoping the court will order a mediation session in the next two months and that will get us closer to finalising the case. How are you going?

Loula I've had 2 c-sections and had quite a lot of discomfort afterwards. I still have odd shooting pains and over time have discovered that often the scar tissue develops into lesions. Once you're feeling better and have been given the all clear, try gently massaging oil on both sides of the scar, apparently castor oil is the best. I've just used olive oil and along with Pilates its made the world of difference. xxx

Hello to everyone else, have been thinking of you all xxx

AFM was silly enough to POAS this morning because I'm a day late (or not depending on my calculations at 5 am!) I'm not sure if I'm an eternal optomist or just a sucker for punishment...if only it were that easy!!!

Hi girls, just a quickie update from me, we will be getting back on the rollercoaster this month after all paid the account today so now we just wait for AF.
I believe this will be our last IVF too (for a while atleast anyway), I don't think I can handle any more cycles esp if this next one does not result in a TF like my last 2 haven't, it's too heartbreaking. DP went to see a surgeon a little over a week ago and we heard back from him today and we are going to get his obstruction operated on. The doc we see is a private doctor so I don't think we'll have to wait that long to get in, he said to call him back when we have finished our cycle. I'm really happy because I was starting to lose faith that IVF would work for us esp with my pitiful responses and not getting to TF for the last 2 cycles.
The doctor we will see we have been advised is very, very good and I suppose if anyone can fix him it will be this guy, he's really down to earth and very experienced, he operates on testicles all day, that's all he does. He believes that DP's blockage is quite minor anyway and said that some sperm are still getting through. Obvioulsy there is the chance that it may not work and we have been warned but we're prepared to take that risk.
So that's the plan forward for now, I will put my all into this next IVF and hope for a miracle but we will make this surgery our priority when the cycle is done.
That's about it for now, I'm looking forward to the future now and what it may have in store for us, we shall see and I will still be here to support each and everyone of you and cheer you on to your BFP's that you all so deserve.
Take care and and to you all.

    Hi girls

Hope everyone is having a nice relaxing weekend

I had a call from the embryologist that they thought it was best I move transfer to yesterday, Sat ! As I had two DAY 3 embies at 8 and 5 cell, and the other 3 where looking tired, at 1 & 2 & 3 cell, (I cannot remember the cell count really) anyway,

In I went, we have an 8 & 5 cell onboard.

The other 3 embryo's did not meet the criterior for a Day 3 AM freeze, so I said to freeze them in the PM if poss at Day 3, and if they didn't meet the PM freezing criteria, to not dicard them, try to grow them to Blast. It's a long shot, and I doubt, they will get there. At least we tried .. You never know ..

So FC for 5 & 8 cell, I managed to get to accupuncture straight after transfer, and I layed on the couch all day yesterday, I thought it cant hurt. In America, some of the FS's are telling the girls bed rest for 72 hours, so it really is a personal decision. I had the luxury of it being Sat though. One other thing, I was the last lady in for ET, and I heard the embryologist say "lucky last" .... I hope it's a good omen
