Hi All. I've been offline for the past week with my 2yo nephew harassing the #*#* out of me!!! He's divine though!!!! My sister is due to have her 2nd bub ANY day now......and she's asked me to come in for the birth.....not sure how i'm going to handle this when it happens but I guess for once it's not about me!!! I think i'll be ok and of course she is VERY understanding of what i'm going through.

Sandygirl my day 21 appt was day 21 of my last cycle before IVF when they give the drugs you'll be using, give you all the paperwork to sign etc.

Mrs P I'm jabbing away and feeling pretty good still........just forgetful which i think may be the Synarel.

Esperan....all the very best for today!!

AFM: I'm on day 9 of my cycle. No scan since day 2 of my cycle but had a BT yesterday. Levels were 670 (i think that's my oestrogen levels....how naughty that i don't even know what this figure represents) which they were very happy with and they have increased my puregon to 250 iui / day. I've got my 2nd scan this Friday (CD11) so hopefully that will be give me more of an idea where i'm at. I'm guessing mid next week.

Still feel really good..........which is a concern because I was a lot messier on only 50iui a day! And really positive too.........FINGERS CROSS THAT MY SCAN IS GREAT ON FRIDAY!!!!

girls just worte a very big post and my computer had an error... lost everyhting...

just to let you know I'm back home from EPU and everything is fine. Got 23 eggs!!!
I'm feeling good, just a little mild cramp...

esperan, FX for all to go well today.

Baby2Bee, sounds like an E2 level to me (oestradial). GL with Friday's scan.

Misty, congrats on the beautiful blastie and the frosties too!

So, after 12 days of stims I finally had a scan today with mixed results. My right ovary only had 1 follicle (around 26mm). She's normally my good performer, but she's let me down this time.

The leftie (normally the recalcitrant one) had half a dozen-ish, all around 16-18mm. I'd have been happier if they were a couple of mm bigger, but I guess they'll do. We're triggering tonight and go for EPU on Friday morning.

Ah, yes, the trigger saga of this morning... Maybe someone can shed some light on this for me? For IVF#1 I had my trigger (Ovidrel) 37 hours before EPU. For IVF#2 (Ovidrel again) it was 38 hours. This time we're switching to a Pregnyl trigger. He said last week we needed to change the timing to 35.5 hours before EPU. Then this morning he went back to 37, then 36.5, then finally settled on 35.5 again. Reading over that, it really doesn't capture the confusion of the whole discussion... At one point he was saying 35.5 hours but telling me a time that was 36.5 hours before EPU.

Anyway, 35.5 hours, so 9.30pm tonight.

Hi Ladies
Just popping in to say hi. Im not getting on BB very often as Im so busy and trying to keep occupied and mind off the wait.
There are also so many people in here - its hard to do personals. But I have been reading everyones progress.

There are a lot of you with good follies etc - good luck with the transfers etc. And goodluck with the wait for those waiting for treatment to start or waiting for results.

Thanks everyone for thoughts and wishes for my firt IVF cycle starting. ATM I am taking the pill and so onto the nasal stuff etc soon I suppose. And have the counsellling session on 11th June.
A bit nervous but happy about getting on the road with it.

I have been sooooo busy lately. My apologies in advance if I am only on here from time to time. I'm cheering for you all from the sidelines.

I had my preliminary ultrasound today. The lady said that I did a really good job of filling my bladder and she got me to duck to the toilet and let some of it out so she could do the ultrasound properly

I was a bit nervous when she then got me to get changed for the internal ultrasound, but she was lovely and it wasn't too bad. She said that I have a retroverted (sp?) uterus. I remember some ladies talking about that on another thread, but not sure exactly what it means. She said that it's actually quite a common thing to have.

I am at day 8 today and she said that I have one dominant follie on my right side that is 13mm. She also counted 22 follies on my left side and 25 on my right. She said that these numbers are good considering it is a natural cycle. Fingers crossed this carrys on to a successful IVF cycle.

Hi Girls, just a quick update... from the 23 eggs, we got 14 fertilized with ICSI and 2 fertilized on standard IVF!!! Because of OHSS risk, they were all frozen for a transfer next month...

TL- Thanks for the info.
MrsP- I think your friend is so good to be understanding. That takes a lot of pressure off.

Spring- I don't think sleeping on your tummy is bad in the 1st Trimester.
Misty- Doc put me on provera as well. Maybe that's why AF came only one day late.

esperan- Well done on the EPU- rest up and take care of yourself.

AFM- well AF arrived on Monday, so only one day late in the end. I had 1st BT today. all good. I got the go ahead to start injecting purgeon(sp?) tomorrow night. I have mixed emotions about it all but am taking one day at a time.

Hi ladies,

I've had a very long two days so no personals today. I couldn't wait for my BT today so I did a POAS on Tues night. The result was negative. I did the test again in the morning, again negative. DH was a sweety and took me out to dinner last night to take my mind off it. Today I dutifully took the BT and guess what... negative. And so we sit and wait until we are ready to try again.

Girls, I am at a loss to find out what I should and shouldn't be doing, eating, drinking (fluids) etc, during the TWW. Next time I want to know I am doing everything in my power to ensure a positive result but I can't find this kind of information anywhere. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Sorry for the somber post. I hope everyone is doing well.

Spring - so sorry about you BFN - its hard isnt it.
Keep yourself busy and occupied and then when the timing is right it will happen x. Sorry I cant help yet with your question as Im only just staring on this road. But I feel for you and am thinking of you.

Spring, sorry to hear the test was negative. Do you have a plan in mind for your next attempt? There is a list of suggestions floating around another IF website I visit. If I can find it I'll post it.

Afm, I'm back from EPU and we got 5 eggs this time, 1 less than my usual. Could have been worse, but I guess I was hoping for better. Now the long wait until tomorrow to find out how they went...

Juniper, no worries about quantity... quality is what it counts... I remember on my 1st cycle I got 13 eggs and another lady on the same day had 5 eggs. My cycle was cancelled because i didn't get any fertilized. She got pregnant... So no worries... you will be fine! have lots of rest!

Spring, So sorry to hear about your result

If I knew a bit more about TWW I would love to help you with some info. But I haven't gone through this road yet... I know it's hard but try to think positive for the next round... take some time off if you don't feel like it straight away... I'm sending a lot of good vibes for you!

Hi girls

Just a quick pop in to say I survived my first EPU this morning. We got 5 eggs - same as you juniper76! While I would have loved more, I'm concentrating on quality not quantity - well, that's what I'm telling myself anyway to make me feel better. Plus we're just so pleased to have gotten any eggs at all.

Now waiting for the call tomorrow and praying at least 3 will have fertilised... fingers crossed

DH will be working tomorrow so my bestie is coming over to kill time with me and be there for the phone call - she's such a sweetie.

Hope everyone is well - will catch up on personals tomorrow!

Now let's hope we both get three great blasties on Day 5 (are you doing Day 5 as well?) so there will be something to freeze too
