Babydreams - congratulations. So happy for you and I hope you have an uneventful and happy pregnancy.

AFM - not looking so good. Looks like I'm about to be out of the game (again) with this natural cycle. Started getting the brown stuff on TP this morning, so I'm sure AF is not very far away. I was a little disappointed and sad, even though I knew our chances were pretty slim anyway. If I calculated ovulation correctly though, I really shouldn't be getting AF until Monday (maybe Sunday), which would be 14 days after ovulation. The fact that AF could arrive anytime now, it worries me, because it looks like my luteal phase could be too short. My fertility nurse has said that a luteal phase could be anywhere between 12-16 days. If AF arrives before Saturday, my luteal phase this month will be less than 12 days. I don't know exactly what that means for me, other than I know that if it's too short, it's not good. Does anyone have any advice or know what effect a too short luteal phase means?? Can you still get pregnant??

Sorry if I wasn't supposed to post all that stuff in the TWW. Good luck to everyone else still out there waiting.

Wishes xoxo

((((((((((((((Wishes))))))))))))))))))))))))

I am so sorry. Its a crushing disappointment. I dont know anything about luteal stages at all so I cant help you there, but I can send you out hugs and cyber chocolate...

AFM- *****, cuss and curse. The witch is on the way, I can feel it. Low, dull pains and some cramping. And I looked at myself in the mirror this morning and I have stacked on the kg's this cycle. Oh well. Onto cycle number 4 I guess.

Hugs and baby dust so sticky you can hardly get off the couch to everyone else. (((((((everyone)))))))

A big thanks for your good wishes ladies. I am still being cautious and can't believe it. Have only told parents as have had false start before. But so far, so good.

sammiejam: hoping that it like the symptoms I had on Monday> I called my Dh and said there wasn't a baby this time because I too had cramping etc. So big fingers crossed that it is all the baby implantation action for you too.

Wishes: I am not sure about luteral phase. Hugs to you hun.

To everyone else, good luck with your cycles as miracles can happen. I was told that with a frozen cycle and my age I only had a 10% chance. hence why I'm in shock. Best wishes girls.

Baby dreams Congratulations, I think it's extra special that your DS was born from the same cycle.
I was wondering if you could tell me your age ?

Hi to everyone

WLAB: Sure I just turned 43!!! I was 41 when I fell preg with DS and we froze the two blasties we used for this cycle. My Ds is now 9 months so we thought we'd just give the two remaining embies a go, with no expectations. Hence the surprise. Yes it certainly is special. My FS always said it would happen (1st time) and it did, the second time is just a dream.

Good luck

Hi ladies,

Congratulations babydreams, here hoping it rubs off on the rest of us.

I need a little advice, had transfer on the 8th July, on Monday I caught the flu of some sort. Last night was the worst I had terrible night sweats, my PJ's, sheets and even both mattress protectors were saturated. Does having the flu & fevers affect my chances of getting pregnant. Please help !
Doctor has now put me on antibiotics.
I now honestly think I have blown my chances this cycle.

Good luck to everyone, sending lots of

Danyelle,

My sister has 3 kids. Everytime she got a really bad flu she would end up preg. It became a running joke in our family. I dont think the flu hinders implantation. I think stress is worse so hang in there honey and try not to worry to much.

Hi girls - well what an interesting day. Around 9am I started getting some cramping and I tried to ignore it. Around 11am I went to the toilet and found dark coloured blood, I freaked, found DH (we work together) and we were both feeling pretty shattered thinking it was all over. I rang the clinic and went in for a blood test. It was the longest few hours, I rang as soon as I could and would you believe it I thought for sure we were out of the game, had been crying and then a positive result - low levels obviously but still positive. If this works out this bubba will technically be DD's twin(out of the same cycle). I have another BT on Monday. wow wow wow, I am over the moon.
Sammiejam - please don't give up yet, it sounds like what happened to me.

WOW. omg, WOW WOW WOW!

Another BFP! Its blimin FANTASTIC Janie!!! July certainly is the month!

And here I was, not half an hour ago thinking that implantation bleeding is an urban myth...

I am sooooo happy for you Janie, and all you other darling girls.

Still not feeling too hopeful for me. This cramping has been going for a couple of days now. No bleeding but sure feels like the witch.

I guess after all the disappointments I just dont think its going to happen for me. Ouch. There goes another twingey pain...

Thanks Sammiejam and MsPink, hopefully we'll get to see a few more before the month is out.
I honestly thought it was the start of AF, the nurse called it breakaway bleeding. It was the last thing I was expecting to see this morning and still has me a little worried.
I am so blessed, I'll say some prayers for all you beautiful girls.

Congrats Janie and Babydreams!

Danyelle, for one of my IUI's I had a 39C fever from a few days before the IUI until a few days after. My FS said it wouldn't be a problem. But then my post-transfer instructions say to avoid increasing your body temperature, so I'd probably still be worried about it and do whatever I could to bring the temperature down.

Hi Girls,

Sammie and wishes, the game ain't over girls. I've now heard of quite a few girls feeling like the AF was on her way, only to get a BFP. So don't give up hope!!

Janie, congratulations hun!! Wonderful news, wishing you a very smooth road ahead

Danyelle, I don't think having a cold or flu lowers your chances of falling pg. Keep positive hun and take it eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeasy, rest up and remember I have everything crossed for you!

Babydreams, wow!!!! I truly feel so inspired by your story, age has always been an issue with me in terms of TTC, but now you have given me confidence to keep going whatever happens. Thanks hun!

AFM, I have had some numb pain around my ovaries and uterus since saturday, but this morning I had the 'real' period cramping and sore back. I hope my blastie has implanted into the lining. I also feel light headed and my ()() are v. sore and the dots around the nippies are quite bumpy and darker. Hmmm, maybe it's all in my head and AF is tricking me. I really hope not! This 2WW is taking FOREVER!!!

I also have a feeling JULY is gonna be a big month for BFPs (helloooooooo! it's already started!!!) so here is wishing everyone and waiting for our BT!

Hugs
B xxx

Sammiejam - thanks for the cyber chocolate. And I also think that implantation is an urban myth. I hope your cramping is not AF. When do you test?

Mumofsix - thanks for the support. I'd like to think this is just implantation bleeding, but I'm not so sure. I wish for implantation bleeding every month, and each time, there's either nothing, or its just AF.

Danyelle - sorry I can't offer any advice as I'm not sure of the effect that the flu/cold has on getting pregnant. Am crosssing my fingers for you though.

Janie - CONGRATS!!!!! So happy for you. Can I ask what dpo you were yesterday when you got the dark coloured blood, and then your BFP? Were you supposed to be testing yesterday, or was it earlier than scheduled?

Beata - thanks for your support too.

AFM - Because this is a natural cycle, I don't have a BT date, so I'm just waiting for my body to tell me if I'm pg or not. I'm thinking it's more like the "not" though. Yesterday and this morning, I've had the brown or dark red/rusty coloured blood on the TP and also when I go poking around. As I'd said before though, I wouldn't have expected AF until Monday, so these signs are earlier than I'd thought. I'm certainly not normal when it comes to my cycles though, so there is no way I can predict what my body is going to do. When we were trying naturally before starting assisted conception, my shortest cycle was 25 days and my longest cycle was 38 days. And each time I thought I had a bit of a routine, my body would put a stop to that.

Good luck to anyone who is testing today or over the weekend.

Wishes xoxo

Wishes, I've been told by my IVF nurse that implantation bleeding only occurs in about 30%of women. So most women aren't likely to get it. With my pg last year I didn't get any spotting/bleeding.
I have a friend at work who did a fresh cycle earlier this year (she's now 23 weeks pg) and she had 'pink spotting' for 3 days after the transfer. She also had period like cramping for a total of 3 weeks after her transfer so just before her BT she was still expecting AF to turn up. And her nurse told her AF pains and implantation pains are very very similar.
I have had 'AF' type cramping since Thursday morning, so I am praying to God it's implantation cramping......gotta hold onto some hope .
Hang in there hun, I know how hard it is but keep positive and keep hoping and praying, cos that's all we have. And I pray with all my heart you get your BFP. GL darl

GL to everyone testing this weeked too

Beata xxx
