Default Anneliese is COMING HOME!!!

Just got a call from the case manager at the hospital, the drs have reviewed Anneliese's case, and they think she's ok to come home by the end of the week!! She's passed the 2kg mark, and she is demanding all her feeds... I was so happy i started crying. She'll have a nurse visit every day, as she's still so small (34w gestation, and 2.072kg) but she'll be with me Im so happy!! But abit sad at the same time... i've made some close friends in there, we have a our little mothers group going - its like another family in there. Im going to miss the poeple iv met... but i think we'll stay in touch

So glad to hear that it looks like Anneliese is coming home sooner rather than later. Hope you enjoy having your little girl home with you.

wow i cant believ she gets to come home so soon thats just awesome news!
You must be jumping for joy!
Thats great that they will come out each day, i would have much prefered that then travelling into hosp each day. esp seeings you have other children to look after too.
So she is sucking well then? When Nixon was born they told me he wouldnt get his sucking reflex till 34-35weeks and it did take him some time to master it.

Anneliese first sucked at about 31w (drs were amazed!) she was discharged at 34w3d, 4w after my waters broke, she's was 27d old, on thursday (discharge). she's sleeping, eating, she's perfect, so placid and happy. its so good to be typing one handed finally!! The hospital said they dont normally discharge babies before 36w, but she's doing so well that she should be fine to come home. a nurse comes out every day and checks how we're doing for a few days, so thats reassuring...
