Default Is my Positive Beta BT caused by Pregnyl ??

10DPO - 9DP3DT of two embryo's I could take it no more and organised a BT at the GP

It is 48.4 !!

Wonderful I have a HCG reading

Now to the million dollar question - Is it the Pregnyl 1500 I had at 7am the morning of the 5pm BT

I just spoke to a covering FS, (mine is on holidays ) and he didn't completly dismis my reading, he was just in typical FS fashion, "I am afraid you will have to wait until BT on Thursday"

Which is know is true, and I really got the BT so if I have a miracle and get a Positive BT with the clinic, I will know if it has doubled, or it is in fact, the Pregnyl.

I have realistic thoughts running through my mind, but of course we are hoping,

Only time will tell

Thank you Tigger and Me+Him+Bub,

I just spoke to my nurse, and she said it wasn't a bad thing I had the BT, as tommorows BT with the clinic, will show if we have a rise, and that, of course, would be a good thing. If I am lucky enough to have any rise, they will re-do another QHCG the week after.

So my moment of madness will at least give us some clarity

Hi WLAB

The Pregnyl could still be in your system as my FS told me that it takes about a day to clear 1000 units - but having said that 48 is pretty high for a 10DPO reading whatever your reckoning.

I know about the whole wait thing this week. I rang the clinic and demanded a test for yesterday morning (so 13DPO) and they were wary but I insisted. Am having a follow up one on Friday to check that things are increasing.

Fingers crossed that we both have our forever bubs this time.

Oooh WLAB am thinking the most very positive thoughts for you xxx

From memory I think it takes approx a day for each 1000 of pregnyl to leave the system, but your number still sounds high.

I took my last pregnyl shot last night & very tempted today to do a HPT & for each day for the next few to see if the double line gets fainter or stays....

Much love to you hun, because I know this stuff just does your head in xoxoxo

Thank you so much for your support and thoughts

I took myself off to the GP for another BT yesterday and the HCG had decreased to 22, so unfortunatly our 5th cycle has not worked for us.

I have had my BT with the FS clinic this morning, just as a matter of procedure for them.

It is not the fact that I had a Beta Reading and it has declined, that has us so down. It is the heartbreaking discovery that we have to endure another cycle, and that each and every bfn is getting harder and harder to take.

Thanks again lovely girls for your continued support xx

I am so sorry to hear that this cycle hasn't turned out as we all had hoped. I know how hard it is as each cycle come back crashing our hope and courage, you wonder whether it ever going to happend. I don't want to say you need to keep positive because I am not even sure if I could do the same during those horrible times...but what I can offer is a shoulder to cry on and support that we will be here no matter what the next step is.

As much as it sux to think another cycle is on horizon, the thought of 'I am one step closer to that BFP' almost pick me up everytime after the fall...thinking of you hun!
