Default What to do about third pneum vax.

I have had Ds vaccinated, and really didnt want to. I avoided Hep B at birth but then had to have it as there was a whooping cough outbreak at DD's school, so we had to get that vax which comes with all 5. I then separated the pneum as i didnt' want him having two injections at once. Now he's had all three of the WC and he's had 2 of the pneum. Thing is he is getting sick after every vax. Just mild things, colds, gastro type symptoms, coughs etc, but I am over it. I dont want to give him the final (3rd) pneum vax. So Im wondering can I just miss it. Will it mean he's partially covered? xo

I'd ask your doctor about it. They will know whether he'd be partly covered, and what the medical consequences of partial coverage would be if he caught the disease - maybe it would protect him from the worst symptoms or maybe it wouldn't (I am not a medical doctor and have no idea).

They can also tell you what the incidence of pneum disease is in your area, so you can get an idea of how high a risk you'd be taking if he isn't covered by two immunisations.

Thanks for that. I just find GP"S so biased that I know they'll tell me to get it and Im not sure I'll get a two sided answer. Anyway, will give Doc a call and voice my concerns. Thanks again xo
