ello laides!
Sterla: i hope you had a good house warming and are enjoy the girls night!

Moose: hope all goes well with sammys christing tomorrow!

PJ: hope summers behaving for you!

AFM : daz has been really good today! we went to a tupper wear party, it was just me and nother girl from MG and her mum as a host. i've been talked into having one! haha. but you know what was really funny? the girl from MG her son gave her mum the DEATH stare. as in the kind you think "wow if looks could kill that person would be a puff of smoke" kinda death stare! all becuae she was talking to daz! tomorrow DH attempts to put a new stero in my car. as the one thats in there now...will NOT play *any* CDs i've tried 'normal' ones, burnt ones even an internatal one! but NOPE naddar, zip. so i'll be happy!
Ohh and last night i had a 'talk" with DH about when we're going to TTC...as i've got the urge to have another bub. i tried to talk about november but he said june next year but hopefuly i can try and gain some kind of middle ground. his only reson was the labour side of things as i was very, very vocal (and phyiscal EG bashing on walls LOL) and he 'needs time to get over it' but when i told him "umm, why im the one who phyicaly goes through all the pain and pushing...i get you see it but i feel every singel centermeater that the baby moves down!" so im a little "grrr" right now. but who knows...i guess i also see it as we may not fall preg. the first time...and i dont want any more then 2yrs between kiddlets. any whooo i better go. hope every one is having a good night!

Sterla-You poor thing!!Another bad night hey,bet you felt lousy,i feel like death(and look it)when i dont get much!!Hope the house warming still went ok!glad you got him to sleep, and hopefully you had a good night last night!

Blip-How funny the death stare!!My sister in law has a 14 month old little girl and now that summers here and is the only other girl grandchild in a huge line of boys and when poppy plays with summer she gets right bent out of shape and also i reckon ive seen the death stare too for her mum sooo funny hey!dont you love these men?cant cope with it all haha!No wander we are the ones who were giving the job of having children!!My DH is the same, think i'll be lucky to have another one before summers 2 bt id like them close too.

well i had a good day yesterday,we went for a drive and had a nice lunch out with DHs parents, was a bit hard at some stages because they seem to not get the whole summer not having any sleep equals summer being a big screaming mess and they just wouldnt let her sleep!!Thankfully she had a bout half an hour on the way and on the way back but thats it the whole day!!So im trying to put her to sleep and there like you guys are obsessed with her having sleep, shes not tired and shes getting bigger now she doesnt need all that sleep so made it a bit hard but anyway she was actually amazingly good considering and went to bed at about 7.30 and didnt wake up till 6.45!!So she must of been tired,i mean she used to do that nearly every night but lately shhes been waking at 4.30 then going back to sleep so then im thinking, maybe there right and shes having too much day sleep? But i feel she needs it,id say she still would have easy 16 hours in 24hour period, like 10-12 in one go then another 3 in one go mid morning and then another 2 or so in arvo, but shes happy and she doesnt really fight it so i think well she must need it!!Ooooooooooh its all a bit of a drama with inlaws isnt it??anyway, shes here in bed with me,its cold today,so we watching tv in bed for a bit,DH had to work so better go get some brekky, hope everyone had a good night and has a good day!

Good evening ladies

How is everyone doing?

Blip: Lol about the death stare! That's good that you have started talking to your DH about TTC#2 - at least you're getting the topic on the table. I'm sure you'll work it out soon enough. I've been thinking about when I want the next bub, but I'm still trying to decide how big or small a gap I'd like... there's good and bad points both ways. Hope your DH comes around soon .

1PJ: That sounds nice - going for a drive and having lunch. I know exactly what you mean about people not understanding that bubs need sleep. I have some family and friends who insist on trying to keep Oliver up for as long as possible, then when he gets cranky cause he's tired they start saying "What's wrong with him?" Grrr!!! How fantastic about Summer's big sleep though! I wish Oliver would do that!

Moose: How was Sammy's christening? Can't wait to hear all about it .

Peach and Antheia: Hope you and your bubs are doing okay.

AFM: Well, I am quite exhausted. We had such a busy, full-on weekend! Our housewarming went really well, and everyone we invited turned up (which I wasn't expecting). There was about 30 people all squeezed into our house - and 30 people looks like a lot in one house! There was soooo much food too, but it all got eaten!
I feel like I barely got to see anyone... between getting all the food ready and tending to Oliver I was busy, busy! I managed to say a quick hello to everyone though. Poor Oliver was a bit overwhelmed by all the people, poor little guy, but was pretty good for the most part.
We got a few good pressies: a nice Welcome mat, a Bunnings voucher, some mugs, a dip+chips bowl, a decorative glass bowl, a plant, a couple of fruit trees, and a rather large cheque from FIL to get a heat pump installed!!!
Everyone left by 7pm except my friends who stayed on so we could have a bit of a catch up. It was great... but exhausting! Then this morning we did it all over again. We had my friends over for brunch before they went home (most of them live a couple of hours away) - lots of food again. Oh, and then my family over in the afternoon...
And in amongst all this I've been running on very little sleep, as Oliver has still been waking 3 times a night. I'm feeling okay now, but have a feeling this lack of sleep and the full-on weekend is going to catch up with me at some stage. At least Oliver went down for his sleeps easily today - no hours of him fighting it .

Well, I'm off to watch Rove. Hope everyone is having a good night.

pj: i so understand about people and not letting bubs sleep! my mother of *all* people is the worst - her thiory "he'll sleep better later" umm NO she's not there later! but its good summer has had a good long sleep (and the half hour in the car is always a good thing!)

Sterla: YaY glad the house warming went well as did the night with friends! i hope it dosent catch up with you...and that its all smoothe sailing from here on in! i hope oli is a good boy and has a long sleep tonight! and Rove was really funny...mind you i dont mind Huesy (sp?) isnt going to be on there...he annoys me FAR too much!

AFM: last night i posted after having a few (lol) when daz was asleep...hehe...its been a while. heck i sit here now with another one (burbon and coke!) just to relax! been a quiet one here again. DH put a new CD player in my car and OMG it plays CD'S! plus all this other stuff that makes me go and DH got haha. daz has been good. he fell alseep in in bouncer today for the first time ever. then about 3.5hrs later he fell alseep on his play mat. and i only just got him off to bed (he'll be awake around 12:30-1am now. *finaly* talked to DH in more detale about tt#2. he was all for 2.5yrs between kids and i expained that for me that would be far too long. becuase by the time daz is 2 and a half years old i'd have (in theiory) my 'old body back' (as much as one can post-baby who isnt elie Mc ferson or hidei clum!) and then i'd have to go though the whole thing again. plus i made a point clear to him - i am the one who goes thought the body changes, i am the one who goes though the labour and most of all im the one whose home and has to deal with 90% of the major changes. he said he isnt ready for it just yet (as in Nov. this year) so he said early next year we'll talk and possably start. which made me feel better as he wanted june/july next year! plus i think its half gotting into his head that we may not get UTD first go...
O-M-G! something really funny/freaky/strange just happend. i logged into FB...and a guy i knew from PREP (though to about grade 2ish?) added me! ohh the poor kid lost both his mum and dad to cancer before he finished high school. and from what we could gather he had a 'thing' for me...so it'll be interesting to see if he contacts me at all (i left a wall post saying "its YOU! its been 10yrs+ hasnt it?!?!" lol...see this is why i shouldnt drink and surf the BB...I start acting as i do IRL - and babble and talk about *everything* and anything...plus DH is alseep...and i cant waffle on to him about it lol
i better head off...i hope every one has a wonderful night!

HELLO LADIES!!!!!!
My goodness its been ages and its literally taken me 40 mins to read all your posts! You have all been busy mummies!
That must have been so terrifying for you Moose when Sammy had the apple reaction, I was so horrified when I read your post. How was her christening?
Hello to everyone and bubs!
Things here have been gnarly. It took us 2 hrs to get Winter to sleep last night. Her third tooth is coming through now, SIGH! She hates to sleep these days and putting her down in the cot for a nap is... argh well an experience.

Im sorry its short but Im tired but wanted to drop in and say hi.

Hi Peach! Glad you're still about. Sorry to hear you're having such a hard time with Winter's teething. We missed you

AFM: Had a MCHN check up this morning. Oliver is now 7.14kg and 67cm long. I mentioned Oliver's night waking, and she suggested that it could be because he's ready for solids, which I had suspected. So... I'm pretty sure I'll be starting Oliver on solids in the next few days. Should be fun!
I had my second MG today, and it was really good. The topic was starting solids which was handy. Oliver was great the whole time, smiling lots. At the end I got talking to another mum there which was great .

Hope everyone is good.

Thanks Sterla,
Glad to hear your MG is going well, I bet your stoked to be getting out? I loved meeting new Mums, even if it took me a while to meet all of them.
One of the Girls from my mg got roped into doing a tupperware party too, so thats on this fri.

So Winter just screamed herself to sleep in my arms. Its almost back to exactly like it was 3 months ago. She will be showing sleepy signs and as soon as she realises we are going into the bedroom she screams. Called child health yday and she is referring me to the local clinic... not sure what they will say but Im open to suggestions.
Oh and Ive started on cloth nappies! Kind of part-time, only when we are at home and I still put a disposable on her at night as she is a big wetter but Im feeling good about the situation although of course there are pro's and cons for both I feel.
Other news, last week I found a lump in my boob so had to get it checked and get an ultrasound on it, turns out they think its because it wasnt getting drained enough each feed and its turned into somethink called a galactaseel(sp). Its not painful or anything so Im not too worried. Im going to wait and see how it goes and then get another ultrasound in 4 weeks.
Sorry its a selfish post but thought you would all like an update.
Oh and Blip you are a keen Mummy! I couldnt imagine getting pg again so soon, but I can see it from your perspective. I miss my big tummy too.
Glad your all mostly well and Bubba's are doing good
Oh her third tooth cut through last night too... fun times

Pj- LOL no! i havent read about bungers! what is it?!?! hows summer going?

Pech: Yay you back! with winters naps...i've been reading around here on the BB if bubs wont sleep wait another 15mins and try again. and after 3 trys give up on it (??) i know daz sometimes wont sleep for more then 15mins (X4 times aday) and thats it! but he sleeps really well at night....so maybe give that a go? save your stress?

Sterla: Woo Oli is a big boy now! have fun with solids. i know i went a little snap happy with making them for daz (we have about two inichs worth of snap lock bags with potato, sweet potato, two types of pumkin, two types of apple and a few pair bags too) and watching the look on their faces soemtimes with food is priceless! like daz wont eat pair! i tired three times and more of it came out then went in!

AFM: been a rather boring. daz has been cheeky and slept more...but that was only a 48hr thing ha. im baking some muffins and scones for MG tomorrow. i'm making apple/oat (with some yogrt in em too) choc-chip and M'n'M ones ...I FOUND MnM'S you back with?!?! so im maing muffins out of them! plus MIL&FIL get back from a two week holiday so im getting DH to leave some on their kitchen table and sending him off to work with some 'cus one of the guys got the sack, which is really sad for him. makes things harder on DH with end of month (he's in logisics..) comming up and the other superviser taking a week and abit off...means he'll be a stressed grumpy old man! which means i'll be a little grumpy too...but DH wont let me yell at the other superviser becuase the old superviser (who DH worked under) used to do the same thing which bugs me! but what can you do? Ohh and on top of that the compay they use to move their stock sucks i think we both need a holiday (this weekend!!!) hopefully we'll be better after that...and i wont wish to scream at the people DH works with lol
Hope every one is having a good day!

Good morning ladies

Peach: Big about Winter's screaming to sleep . Hope you can get some good suggestions to help. Yeah, I am sooo happy to have started MG. There were quite a few less at the second session, which I don't mind, as I think it will be easier to get to know everyone with a smaller group. I'm excited about it, and hope it keeps going after the organised 6 weeks ends.
That's no good about the boob lump . Hope it's nothing too serious.

Blip: Aren't you a happy chef! Yeah, I'm quite looking forward to making and freezing food portions for Oliver! I want to make sure DH is home and ready with the video camera for Oliver's first go at solids! Should be fun .

1PJ: How is Summer going today? Still grumpy?

AFM: Well, I don't know what I'm doing... the main reason I was considering starting Oliver on solids was because he was waking so much through the night for feeds - then, last night, for the first time in about 5 nights he actually slept for 6 hours straight! So, now I think I'm going to wait a few more days to see how he sleeps the next few nights. Maybe it was just a growth spurt that lasted longer than usual? We'll see... I'm still really excited about starting him on solids, but don't want to rush into it before he's ready.
Also, Oliver is slowly starting to move in 0 sized clothing. He by no means fills out his 00 suits, but his body is getting too long for 00 clothing. I've put him in this really cute 0 suit today, and it fits him perfectly in the body, but there's still a fair bit of fabric hanging over his feet. He is 67cm long now though, and I think 00 is supposed to fit up to 68cm, so no wonder he's growing out of them.

Hope everyone is having a good day

Peach: I meant to say - that's great about starting on cloth! I've been thinking about doing that for awhile. Are you just doing flat cloth, or some of these great new MCN's? Let me know how you go - you might convert me!

Im using terry cloth, I was given a bunch at my baby shower and have been using them on the change table, as hand towels etc and like you said I had been flirting with the idea for ages, then my SIL started using them on her little one so when she was over she gave me some liners... but I didnt have the guts to try them till she was over next. I googled how to fold them as there is a bunch of different ways and thats it! You do have to be more dilligent with changes as in you cant obviously let Oli do say 3 wee's per nappy as with sposies but it has other benefits. Just try it I say as what could happen? You might like it! If not then no harm trying I say!
I looked at MCNs but they are sooo expensive compared to terry cloths and there are so many different brands I would hate to pay $20 for a nappy and not like it...

sterla: all i can say to the chef comment is "hurdy gurdy hurdy gurdy boork boork boork"

Peach: YaY for cloth nappys. i couldnt work out how to fold them for daz...so he's a sposie bum...mind you his legs are little...so it kind of look really- really odd!

AFM: i made three lots of muffins. and burnt one lot (wooo!) but the other two turned out
after the day i had that was a good thing. (i have a rant about it in the boohoo section :P ) in short. i bought a club lock for my car. the lock on it has farked up. thus making mineself a grumpy little chicken, add into the mix (im guessing im still on 3 week cycles ) so for 2hrs today i tried to get it off...and in that time i think the guy next door thinks im a raving loony (which is amuseing) as i think he saw me in my car screaming at the club lock and bashing it (and it bashed me back the b@$stard!) so now i'm going to do the dishes, and set up for tomorrow (MG is here :yay: )
hope every is having a good night!

Hello everyone,

Wow, this last week has been ABSOLUTELY insane! On Friday we went to meet my newest niece who is just so cute. 5 hours labour for my SIL, good on her eh? That was after doing all the food shopping for the Christening. By the time we got home, got Sammy fed and into bed, had dinner we then started cleaning the house as well and went to bed absolutely buggered. Thank goodness we cleaned up as FIL who was supposed to arrive the following day at lunchtime turned at out doorstep at 8am!! So, out the plans of getting stuff done for the Christening that morning. It was nice, we got to meet his new girlfriend and she is lovely. They left around 2:30pm and my MIL arrived right after so we could start getting all the food and cakes cooked for the Christening. Let me tell ya ladies, catering for 35 people is no small feat. At 10pm, we decided to call it a night only to rise again at 6am (mind you I was awake half the night stressin' Lol) and I got into the shower at 9:55, the Christening being at 11 BUT we got it all done. Table decorations & room set up, 60 sandwiches, 2 quiches, 2 banana cakes, cookies, spinach cobbler dip and the Christening cake which was 3 layer white angel cake with Fresh cream and strawberry jam & butter icing. everyone raved about the cake and everything else.
The Christening went soo well, Sammy was an angel and didn't even blink when she got dunked in the water..must have thought it was bath time! lol The priest kept coming around and saying how cute she was..made mummy pretty proud. She looked SOO beautiful in her dress. The lunch went without a hitch and turned into a bit of a party actually! LOL We ended up bringing the radio up and listened to the JJJ 100 greatest of all times. By 9:30 the last guest left and we were well and truly pooped but so happy, both DH and I said it reminded us of our wedding day, it was just such a good party. Yesterday, we both woke up feeling like crap, met up FIL for lunch and by the time last night rolled around, we are both knocked out with the flu & a wicked cough, so boooo to that.

We also found out my new niece is having issues with seizures, as she was about to leave the hospital on Monday, she went into a fit for 10 minutes and they kept her overnight. She is now home but my SIL has to monitor her closely and record everything. Hope its not epilepsy

On a final note, we went to paed yesterday and Sammy got the all clear and is now a healthy little bubba who is right back on track with her weight. She was 6.56kg and 63.5cm long. As for the apple, Dr told me to steer clear of apple until she is 1 yr old. We tried pear this am and so far so good. Enough of a rant, Sammy just woke up, better get going!

Sorry no time for personals just yet but will be back later on

Moose I am so happy to hear that Sammy has the all clear, you must have been so stoked! Her christening sounds awesome and I had a little giggle about the head dunk. Did you make the cake yourself? You did well to cater for so many!

Blip, ahahahha I had the funniest mental image of you yelling at your club lock hahahah Sorry but you make it sound funny. You are a bake-a-holic!!! I miss baking so much, I havnt baked anything since Winter was born!

OH MY GOLLY GOODNESS today I almost spewed when I changed Winters nappy. I swear I am not over-exaggerating(sp) I retched it was soooo unbelievably horrific. She is on the third day of banana and yesterday was funky but oh wow am I painting a picture for you ladies?? It was horrific, I had to open the windows of her bedroom! Little chunky beady brown stringy STINKY poo's. I dont know what the go is but Im already dreading the next poo nappy. Oh and it was so huge too and she had a cloth on, so the chunks stayed in the liner but the nappy smelt and oh wow it was the worst thing ever! Is this enough poo talk yet?? It was horrible, terrifying, nauseating(sp), blood curdling. Lol it was bad bad bad!!! Nothing I could say would truly potray to you ladies how truly smelly it was.

On a nicer note, I got treated to a massage this afternoon and it was divine! DP had some Daddy-Daughter time and I got pampered. Sooooo nice.

Hope your all having a great night
