Hi!

We had a good day here. Louis had swimming this morning and was so funny. When I was swimming him along he kept putting his face underwater! hehehe. The teacher said it was fine because he was choosing to do it iykwim? but it was still funny. He's started kicking his legs a little bit more but he's more interested in me moving him around! hehehe.
I had work and had to take him to childcare and he cried when I left - poor little monkey.
Otherwise not much happening. I so have to do food shopping tomorrow as we've been living on take away all week. No wonder I'm putting on heaps of weight! Poor Louis hasn't been eating as well either...I've got a major case of the guilts.
Dh is away for the weekend camping with the boys so I'm looking forward to getting heaps of work done and getting the house in order. I know I can do that with him home but you tend to veg out together and do other stuff...

I can't be bothered going back to the other thread - I hope you're all well!!!

Chantelle! 1Today hiphiphooray!

I hope everyone is set for a good weekend. Benjamin has his first swimming lesson tomorrow, and I was able to get him into a mum's and bub's class after all I rang them up yesterday, to tell them my concerns about him being in the toddler's class, and they totally understood, and lucky for us, someone had cancelled and there was an opening right there for us.

Hi!

Chantelle!!

Sounds like she was very spoilt! (the way it should be...hehe) It should be a great night for a bbq! Enjoy your precious little 1 year old! I was very emotional about it all as well....I'll blame it on hormones! hehe.

Melissa - Have fun at swimming lessons tomorrow!

How's this weather?? So beautiful. Dh had the air con on last night though and I ended up needing to sit on the couch with a blanket over me - hehehe!! So silly. Mind you it was still 24 degrees in the house - I don't know why I was feeling cold.

K better go! Enjoy your day!

Happy birthday Chantelle. Isnt it just the best to watch them with all their new toys and stuff Nikki!!

I forgot to fill you all in on my first day at work. It was great, it is so relaxed and layd back. The first patient was a general anaesthetic on a guy with downs syndrome and it was lots of fun (I know I'm demented!) and then we had a few elderly people back at the surgery to deal with their teeth or lack there of! My job it seems though is just to get the place organised and make all the follow up calls and get all letters done! Perfect for me really - its what I do best. I cant believe its only one day a week though, I could do that more! I'm getting paid to do not much at all, but its all the things they couldnt get around to. I got through most of what had been building up though which was good.
Also Tori had a great day with her dad, its the first time he has had her for a full day. he has had her half days and a few hours at night but he was worn out by the end of a full day of chasing her. As soon as i came in the door he said ' I dont envy you having to do this all day with 2 in not so long!'

Tori is getting better with her sleeping at night - she is pretty much straight through now but the problem we have now is that she sleeps with us most nights! I dontmind it but when the new one comes along its going to be one full bed. I'm sure we can get her sleeping in her own bed once she is in her own room though, I just need to find a rental that wont cost a million bucks and isnt ready for demolition!

Cindy - i'm glad the new job is going so well for you.

Kristie - We had nothing but blue sky here today, a hint of a fresh breeze in the shade and warmth that tells you that spring is definitely here, and summer ain't too far off either.

The car was like an oven today, I put the air-con on in there before I put Benjamin in. Tomorrow is meant to be hotter than today. I feel for all of you getting the scorching heat.

Hi!

Well, what a night we had! Louis started to get a runny nose yesterday so I thought another cold was on the way. He was pretty good though and went down for bed easily enough. He woke 45min with a croupy cough and it was soo bad. He was so miserable and just wanted cuddles. I managed to get him to sleep on me for another 30min but he kept waking with a start and was really struggling to breath. Of course this is the weekend I'm home alone and even my mum and sister are away on holiday! I didn't want to panic but thats hard when your home alone. Anyway, he kept dozing and waking really upset and distressed and then I could see his little throat just above his collarbone really sucking in to get breath. I decided at about 11.30pm to call the hospital and they told me to bring him in or if I wanted call an ambulance. I decided to drive him in as he was alright just finding it a bit of a strain. So, we went in and thought I'd have to wait for hours but luckily they saw him straight away! Anyway, they diagnosed croup and gave him a liquid steroid to stop the swelling. He actually started improving while we were in there (before the medicine) so that was good. They told me that it would probably be bad like that again for the next couple of nights...we got home around 3am and luckily he slept ok until 5.30 and then again to 7am.
He woke up some miserable and grumpy I think just from lack of sleep and luckily before 9am he went back down for 2 1/2 hours and so did I.
I think what made everything more scary was that I was home alone. Dh is out of range on his phone so doesn't even know whats happened yet! He's due home today so I can't wait to hear from him. I just rely on him so much!

Anyway, Tori and Chantelle I hope you have wonderful parties today!!!

Melissa - I think cars are the worst in summer! They heat up so quickly! Hope you're coping with your warm weather. I'm back to having the heater on but in Vic we're used to that! hehe. The weather here never lasts for too long.

Tracey - My address is 4/373 Maroondah Hwy Croydon Nth 3136! Thats great Jordans eating pasta! Louis loves it as well.

K, I've just eaten brekky so I better try and get a bit organised - The food shopping I did yesterday afternoon still hasn't got put away! It was a struggle getting dinner cooked for me last night with Louis so miserable!...

Hope you're all having a great weekend! (or at least better than mine! hehe)

Benjamin loved his swimming lesson. He's by far the biggest kid in his class, considering the one closest in age is only 10 months. There was 2 of us mums, 3 dads and an Uncle. There were 3 boys and 3 girls.

Kristie - The weather is hot up here again today. We've got the fans running in the house, it's just too unbearable to be outside in the heat. I wish we could have a lovely thunderstorm to cool things down for a little while.

Nikki hope Chantelle enjoyed the rest of her party. hope she got some nice presents.
Cindy hope the party went well also
Kristie I would have been a mess if I was in your shoes, you did a great job. I hope that Louis is getting better now he has some medicine. I feel so dumb asking but I have forgotten your partners name? I didnt want to leave it off Jordans invite as he is invited also.
Melissa YEAH for the great lesson. LOL about being the biggest, Jordan is pretty much the biggest also.

Well Jordan had a great time at Chantelles bday party. We played with the older kids and hung out with Chantelle for a while. Overall we had a great day. He is now in bed but not sleeping making heaps of chatter noise. I will leave him be for now.

Night all

Hi!

Tracey - Dh's name is Michael. Don't feel silly I probably haven't said it! He's home now so at least we can look after Louis together tonight. We've given him some medicine so hopefully he's ok and we don't need to head back to the hospital.
Thats great you had a good time at Chantelles party! I'm so sorry I couldn't be there.

Melissa - Glad Benjamin enoyed his swimming lesson! That sounds like a nice small class as well!

Kristie- that must have been so scary with louis, i hope he is better now though! I cant imagine having to do all that alone.

Tracey- soundslike jordan had a great time at the party.

well we had toris party yesturday too and we ended up moving it to our place coz it was so cold and windy! Bloody weather!!!! She had a great time though and ate way to many lollies and fairy bread.
It was great to catch up with all my girlfriends though, I even had a friend who i havent seen since high school turn up, another friend invited her as a surprise, she has just moved back from OS with her hubby and bub so it was fantastic to have all the old gang back together. I was worn out completely by the end ofthe day though and had to havea nap when everyone had left. I'm such an old lady at the moment.

Well, I am off, time to get organised, tori has swimming in an hour and a half and im still in my pjs!
