wahoo! bring on Monday!!
:happyforyou:
i had a similar response to your post - apart from the obvious, i am so sorry you are going thru this.
If you know your LO is having trouble with formula, i would research milkbanks (donated breastmilk) in your city, and ask whoever has care of him, if your bub could be given donated breastmilk (or yours, if you are able to do EBM).
Your post, you are obviously holding it together in extremely horrible conditions, my heart goes out to you. I hope the BS redtape gets cut soon.
I hope they are home for good soon! *hugs*
Thank you everyone :)
My littlest guy is now on soy formula and hasn't breastfed in three weeks now as I had surgery and the painkillers I was taking were not good for bub so I only expressed and tipped it down the sink for two weeks. I also had to say no every time he wanted booby. It is absolutely heart breaking as for the past week (after all the drugs were out of my system) I have been trying to feed but he now refuses it. I will keep expressing and I will keep offering it but my milk is almost gone now :( Once they are home though, for good, it should be easier to get him back attached. My big boy reattached 9 months after stopping so there is hope :)
One fantastic bit of news I have gotten is that I will still be able to become a foster parent as they themselves have said that my parenting skills are fantastic. PND is no reason for someone to not be able to foster. So now I'm really looking forwards to my business continuing to grow so that I can buy a nice big house and help other families in need as the lovely foster parents have for me and mine. There is such a great demand for carers and it makes me sad when children are failed as there are not enough carers. My eldest is on placement number 6 and it has caused great damage to him. I want to try and help avoid that happening to another child.
Oh, that's really interesting Dampyre, I thought that my mental health history would preclude us from fostering, but obviously I need to ask instead of assuming. You're right, it's horrible what the kids hafta go through because there aren't enough carers :(
Alittle ot- how do you make preparations to apply for becoming a foster parent? I would love to be one

Great to hear you are all making progress and your babies will be home with you soon where they belong! I hope you continue to go from strength to strength. xx
Yay! That is fantastic news hun....so very proud of you.
I hope things keep improving for you all. I can't believe your DS is on placement 6. Good luck with your breastfeeding endeavours. I hope ABA can help if you need it although it sounds like you already know exactly what to do.
That is great if you are well enough for them to come home, but please, please be sure you are better before taking them back into your full time care.
Hope you get some sleep tonight and have an awesome day tomorrow

It sounds like you've been through a horrific ordeal, but I just wanted to say your attitude towards it all is fantastic. I am very proud of you. The world deserves more people like you in it!
I hope you continue to win your battle with pnd and your little men are returned to you for good really soon
hope you had a lovely day. :comfort: thinking of you and ur kids

Thats amazing!!! what a long journey for you all. im sad that it has taken its tole on you eldest. you sound so positive and a great mummy!! well done you!
It has been a very long time but after a 9 1/2 month battle, I got my youngest Son home. I also went on to have a daughter and was monitored by child protection in case I got PND again. I did but I handled it a lot better and my kids are happily at home :D
Also, it turns out, they needed me stable for 6+ months as it was written down as ?BPD (questioning if I have borderline personality disorder) in my files from a hospital I spent a couple days in when I was waiting for space in the Mother Baby Unit and they didn't know I had a baby and thought I was having an episode as I needed to pump my milk for him (when I got to the hospital I was barely alive as I crashed in the Ambulance during transfer so paperwork was not up to date yet and it took a couple days for that to happen) and was never actually diagnosed with BPD as they changed it to "Depression and Anxiety in the Postpartum Period" or something like that but child protection took the "?BPD" as me actually having BPD and believed that it meant I would never be able to provide my children with a stable home. I have since gotten them to write in that I do not have BPD after I got letters from my GP and Psychs.
That is behind us now (thank goodness), leaving me with more added to my PTSD but we are all home safe and sound and even married now with a stable home for my children, myself and my wonderful husband.
im so glad you had a happy ending and your bubbas are home where they belong.
