I have a mid semester exam on A&P in an hour or so and I don't think I can cram anymore stuff in my brain :o I am hoping the exam isn't as scarey as I think it will be. There is just so much to know!!!
Also have an assignment due on monday so looks like I'll be stuck in my study all weekend. On a good note though I have gotten my 2 youngest kids into the daycare at uni one day a week (not my preferred day mind you), so thats one day where I will be able to do some study during the day and not after the kids are in bed :dance: .
I have my first placement coming up at the end of May and am trying to find out all I can about the hospital and hoping they are nice ;) . And I don't have to be away from home for the week which is a plus.
How is everyone else going? I am feeling a bit more settled with the school work now but my house is out of control :lol:

Essay 1 is finished I just need to submit!! Been finished since tuesday just need to get game to sumbit its due fri.

Things have settled for me - had two assignments due on Friday just gone and one two weeks before that. Now I don't have any due till the start of May, the end of May and then the start of June and one online quiz Two of those assignments I have nearly finished so I can't complain at all atm.

Well my exam was crap!! It was all really technical terms and I was hoping for simple terms. I had enough time to go through and finish and then re-check it and I changed some answers and there is one I had right and changed and now it is wrong :shakehead: so I am kicking myself for that.
Gosh Trillian I wish I was as organised as you re assignments!!
Anyway off to write one that's due on monday........

Good luck for tuesday Traveller. Hopefully whoever writes your test puts things more simply than our lecturer did! I think for the next 20 lectures I won't dumb it down to understand it all, I'll just learn the technical stuff :o

I just finished my prac. Now have to smash out two assignments (for missin one day of each prac) and three of our normal subjects ;( within two weeks give me strength!

Wow exams already. My exams dont start till 5 June!!
I got the task of collaborating our group assignment which is a lot more work than I thought. 2 people haven't referenced at all and those same 2 haven't put anything into PowerPoint so now I have to create it for them based on their summaries. No one even closely stuck to the word limit so I have to cull without getting anyone upset. I haven't done a group assignment off campus before and feel like I jumped in the deep end.
After this one I've got a major assignment due mid may and another on 1 June before exams. So I'm cruising after this week, we have labs to do in between but they are only 700 words each so I don't really count them as assignments.

I'm also doing a double degree - arts/education (secondary).
I received my first essay results for this semester on Tuesday and I got 90%, so I'm pretty thrilled.

I really hope there are no group assignments for my degree. I find group discussions in tutorials hard enough because half the group sit on facebook and add nothing to the discussion. I feel like bopping them on the head and saying 'pay attention!'. Have started studying for the exam on Tuesday but not getting very far. I intend to cram on Monday as I have pretty much no classes, then hopefully things will stick long enough to pass the exam :)

Wow I'm glad I went with TAFE and not uni because even that is hard work.
We are group assigning ATM and omg some people. We have a lady so stuck in her way she will not agree to anything else.
Luckily I have the job of writing it up so bugger her but I need to pass.
I have written up to versions of assignment one with her stubborn ways and one the rest of the group has done completing the task.
Wonder how that will go down.

I have heard a few people say that TAFE is harder work that uni because you have a lot more contact hours, are you there a lot of the time?

I did off campus tafe - accounting and on campus tafe - hospitality and loved them both!! It's more hands on than uni which is very theory based so I find uni harder, mostly because keeping motivated is hard when all you do is reading and researching (until 3rd year for me)
Group assignments do suck!! But I guess for me its really an integral part of social work isn't it. We had a girl added to our group 4 days before the assignment wad due- so unfair!!! And 2 that didn't even make contact.

How did you go traveller?
I got my results today and it was way better than I expected at 75%. I am thrilled with that cos I was just hoping to pass. Some people didn't do to well at all.
Still waiting for feedback on some assignments now and luckly no group work yet.

That's awesome Hannah! Well done :D I found the exam ok, I got a few answers definitely wrong but I think most are right, hoping for around 75% too which would really take the pressure off for exam 2. I'm surprised you got your results back so fast, we were told 2 weeks for results. Hopefully that's just worst case scenario and I get them this week.
Do you know what classes you will be doing in Geelong?

Trimester 2's timetable still says pracs and some tutes for the first mid subject on a friday at waterfront at 11 - 13:50 (prac) and 10 - 11:50 (tute) but we also have a tute time on our campus so it might only be pracs I may have to come for. Just have to wait and see till we allocate for our timetables.
I was suprised we got our results so fast, but my tutor is our head lecturer for A&P so I think she gave them to us before imputting them.
