Thank you for the reply bluesky and sarebear, it is much appreciated.
To answer your question bluesky Does your ds eat alot of gluten? Ie cereals, bread, pasta, wheat, rye, oats, barley? He doesnt really eat cereal but he has 2 slices of bread per day and pasta once sometimes twice a week. He does poo at least 2 - 4 times a day but i thought that was from the fresh fruit he eats.
He has a paed appointment in may so if he has not gained any weight by then they will be doing the coeliacs blood test.
Thank you very much for your help and hope you are all well.
may be back later if the test results are positve.

Hi girls, just checking in to see how everyone is going.
Bearymum how is your son?
I made a discovery recently, bread that actually tastes like real bread! :leap:
It's called Schar, our local health food shop has it, and the gluten free shops have it too. It's so good, and comes in lots of varieties of sliced bread, rolls, pizza bases etc. Not cheap but so worth it!

Hi SareBear,
My son had his blood test last week and we find out the results tommorow.
He has been putting on weight since being on cows milk but instead of pooing 2-4 times a day, he is now pooing every 3-4 days.
Hope everyone else is doing as well as can be.
will pop back tommorow and let you know the results.
xo

Well the test results are back, apparently they only tested for the iga antibodies, which was negative. He is low in iron so has been put on an iron supplement once a day for 3 months. after 3 months they will check weight and iron levels again if no big change they will do the genetic blood test for coeliacs. So no real answers yet.
Anyone with suggestions on how to get a 2 year old to put on weight? He eats everything.
thanks x
