I'll be honest, the whole "popular" thing kinda does my head in a bit. Feels like I'm back at highschool and trying to get in with the "in" crowd. I don't want to want it but secretly I would like it. arrrgh. Damn you popular list *shakes fist & slinks off to focus on own creativity & goals, chanting "I will not be a crowd-pleaser, I will NOT"*

I just thought it would be nice to highlight the ones that made the list more for the fact it's not just BB they are out there against hundreds (if not thousands) of other pics :)
Oh don't get me wrong, I think it's nice you're doing the popular list. This is just me working it through in my own head how i feel about it, and then it occurred to me that maybe some others might feel the same way, so thought i'd brave "putting it out there". I have to admit I thought twice about posting what I did. But I really figure there's stacks of awesome pics that don't make the list and display amazing creativity, so I want to acknowledge that as well (and to reiterate it to myself). I think whether we're doing stuff for ourself or for our audience is always a really interesting question when it comes to creativity, plus then there's the subjective judgement of what's good & what's not. I believe that for ME, I need to keep the focus on what I love and what calls to me (and tbh, I imagine that's what we're all doing). It's just the stupid insecure side of me that sometimes is tempted to succumb to being a crowd-pleaser.
Aaah I could ponder this all day but the dishes are calling!! I shall go look for beauty in the sink :)
Totally understandable hun, i wondered yesterday if anyone would be worried about it... if you are please let me know and i am more than happy to take down the list.
I love everyone's pics and what i find beautiful others may not... i could have a pic of DD1 with boogers hanging out her nose and mus all over her face and think it's art :)
Love that you can put your ideas out in here though hun, shows you care and you trust us... love this little group.. so much fun and lots of support.
I agree belfie, too many awesome pics won't even make the list xx I am not phased if the list is kept or not. I'm doing this for me to try and better my photography skills (I should have started with a better camera! LOL)

I have a couple of ideas for today.... we have a birthday party to go to so I will most likely put that up and I might focus on the other idea for next month to correspond with the right dates.
I do agree - Your the same as me, to me, it's a project and the popular list makes me sad sometimes (the one on 365, not here):
:) girls you are all taking the most beautiful photos and dont worry if some of us have **** cameras or **** editing soft wear..just let your hair down and keep happy snappen ...some of you are truely wonderful at this photo bizz while others just cruise like me :) you do what ever makes you happy.me im just doing it FOR ME i dont need another reason cause i dont get much FOR ME lol.

I think the one thing i'm going to love looking over this thread in a years time is how much we have trusted and let each other into our lives, even if it is through photos.
I love seeing everyones kiddies, their pets, their flowers... aww i just love seeing EVERYTHIN.
I don't edit any of my photos... wouldn't know where to begin lol

I can't believe how creative you ladies are. I think your photos are unreal. It makes me want to do better with my own, or atleast try to do better.

I don't edit mine either... not enuff hours in the day and I'm stealing time as it is! Haven't even got my thank u cards out yet for DD's birth. Am blaming sick husband. Don't let on i've been taking pics bwahaha!:
Can anyone help? I bought some extra things for photo shop.. "sloppy borders" and I cannot understand how I am meant to install it? The instructions are aparently dummy proof. But I must be a dummy. Something about scripts and actions? eek help!?

I agree Belfie, I don't like the pressure of the popular thing! It feels like I should be posting photos for an audience instead of for myself. I'm just doing the project to improve my own skills, so being featured on there isn't a priority for me. It doesn't make sense really, some photos on the popular page I've clicked on have only had a few views and not 'favourited' at all, when other photos that have been favourited a few times and lots of views and comments don't get on there. That said tough, I do love looking at the popular page as that's how I find new interesting people to follow, and I don't mind a list on here keeping a record of who has been on the page as I think you've all posted awesome photos.
helle - it's not too late. Your 365 days can start from any day of the year.
ZF - I think it's easier for someone to remove your watermark from a photo than it is to put one on.. that's why I'm not bothering with it.

I'm about to put my photo up for the day, I think. I've got one of Isaac asleep, nothing special about it technically but it's been such a big day and stinking hot here I just don't have the energy to take any photos :)
