I'm another who has had a few days off. My Annika has grown her first two teeth, DS has been sleeping badly - they've both been tag-teaming and we're kinda lucky if we get two hours solid sleep a night, DP is in the middle of stocktake and is working killer hours, and now I have a cold. Today I grabbed camera, tripod, remote, and whacked the newly found lens extender on (I haven't been able to find it since we moved here nearly two years ago, and hadn't used it prior to that), and then in the remaining two minutes before I had to pack it all away again because DS was about to come home I took this. It's an earring that is made from a very tiny paper crane. I think I'm going to have fun with the lens extender lol. Oh, and another one here. Just for a bit more abstract minimalism...
Also this one is in my 'real' 365 album.
I had an infected cyst that was lanced yesterday and is getting removed tomorrow by a surgeon, other than being stuck on the couch and sleeping heaps I'm doing ok for now, lets see how I go after surgery tomorrow :)

Mine today is in homage to my mum and yesterday was my bush boy. Back to reality for me now that Mum's had to go (unexpectedly) and DH still sick. Cheer me on, I hope to stay sane!

Still here just had a busy couple of days, am off to a BB meet tomorrow so hopefully i can find a nice pic :)
Jewel... i am not sure on inspiration, some days it's whatever i was lucky enough to find other days i plant a picture in my mind and set out to get it... emotion plats a big role with my pics
Jewel - I feel like I have been struggling for photos this week, usually I just try to look at the world through my DS's eyes seeing he is in every photo to find a perspective I might be missing. Although most of the time I have no trouble, sometimes I worry about finding a 'new' photo each day without falling into the drudgery of the daily grind IYKWIM :)

Sopdet - i wish I could think of the right thing to say to make you realise that your photos are great. I can't think of any great earth-shatteringly wise comment, so I'll say quite simply what i'm thinking - your photos are great. It's not a competition, it's just about everyone exercising their creative eye. I know how you feel as I've had days where my creativity seems to have run away to the other side of the earth... but I figure try, look, learn, enjoy. Some days are better, some days are worse. Believe in yourself hun, you can do this.

Sopdet - Lately you photos have made me realise how many different textures there are around me that I've never noticed before. I am sucky with words but everything Belfie said I completely agree with and couldn't have said it better myself.
Belfie - You seem to always capture your garden or grass/outdoors really well. The greens pop so much!
thanks girls :) I've just been feeling blah lately and not really feeling like I'm accomplishing anything with this, but it is making me keep on looking around. I've not been out much to get some photos, so my effort this coming week is to NOT take any photos around home, but to get out every day to do something, even total tourist things (yep I'm going to spend this coming week playing tourist in my own city). So will be taking more photos outside and around my gorgeous home city :)
I think we have a theme? How about we use Sopdet's idea of playing tourist in your own city? If we do let's start it Monday and end it next Sunday to give us all some chances to get out and about :):

Hence the constant search for me for unusual objects around my own home - it's really just because I don't get out.

I played tourist today, we took the girls to the park in the next town across and i got THESE of the war memorial there.
Gorgeous statues, it didn't feel right just picking one so i did a collage.
I'm looking forward to playing tourist -good idea Sopdet :)
I was simply too tired tonight to start fiddling around with the camera, So I just uploaded my other favourite photo from the Mardi Gras. It's a bit risqué! Can't link coz I'm on my phone, lying in bed about to enter the land of nod, but I'm sure you can spot it if you are interested!
I'm off to the Tan for picnic lunch tomorrow if it doesn't rain (ok today since it is after midnight and damn I should go to bed), so will be wandering around that part of the city and might walk back over the bridge and have a bit of a wander around Fed Square etc. So there will be pictures, decision as to which picture will be made when I get home.
Ummmm rain gods, no rain for tomorrow please, it is an important picnic!
I have been very busy lately. Sorry I haven't commented on anyones photos or uploaded any. I will try and get back into the swing of things tomorrow hopefully.

I really wanted to do the "tourist in my own town" thingo this week but it's been a bit of an up and down week. I might try and at least get one photo that fits in this theme/idea during next week.
I'm not sure that I really managed the tourist in my town challenge - I took pics of the opera house, harbour bridge etc, but on those days I always had another better photo that i wanted to use! I did upload one picture of centrepoint at night, but really it was a bit of a last ditch attempt of a photo for the day and probably my worst photo of the week!
How is everyone going? I get the feeling that it's quietened down a bit on the 365 site, are you all feeling it too?
I've been making myself take a photo every day, I can't wait until I'm back at work and I will be in the CBD every day and probably walking/jogging home frequently. Didn't have my phone on me as I was watching the sun come up on Sunday morning over the Yarra - was exercising, the sight was gorgeous, but don't know how well the photo would have turned out if I had my phone there as by that point I was shaking and sweat was running into my eyes.
Yea it's def quietened down on the 365. I've been keeping up, just uploading backlog from when we didn't have Internet.
