Hi all
Just a quick question for any artsy ladies reading this..
I have a 5"x7" canvas board that I've just done a ink and pencil design on and I'm just wondering what I can do to seal the canvas so that the art work doesn't get smudged or ruined in any way? I've tried googling but all I was getting was for acrylic painting etc..
You should be able to buy a can of protector for pencil on canvas, sorry can't remember the exact name. I used to buy mine from an arts supply place, like eckersley's. It's just an aerosol that you spray on that helps prevent smudging and protects it.
Thanks TT40
I hope I can find something it's a birthday present for a friend and the design is so awesome I don't think I could do it again if I tried!
In high school art class we always used hairspray as a cheap alternative to the expensive stuff bought at art supply stores do two light coats held far away from the canvas
Grab some spray fixative or some matte/gloss (whichever you like) spray varnish from an art store, should protect it no troubles. I wouldn't recommend hairspray as it isn't acid free or archival
