Like courier. I told my H no-one will know if it's 4-ier though. He seemed to think because it looks like courier it would be fine.:

There is SUCH a difference between top 100 and top 10 as far as popularity goes. I know one baby Felix but I don't think he'd end up with lots of other Felix's in his class. Go with you heart I reckon. The name you end up choosing could get popular too!

I've gone back with my gut and decided this little guy is supposed to be called Felix. So I've decided on the name Felix Blaze.
Looking at this thread again though Griffin Felix is still a hot contender!

My Felix count is 2 - one was 3 yo in 2003 and the other was 6yo in 2008.
I've been teaching for 10 years and only come across 2. One was 10 years ago and the other about 3. So kids would now be aged about 15 and 8

I think Griffin is off the list then. My personal Felix and Griffin counts are one each.
Baxter is my H's favourite choice and I do like the nicknames it makes... so short list is currently Felix Blaze or Baxter Felix.
I have only met one Felix. He was 4 (2 yrs ago). So you are oscillating again? You sounded so certain about Felix Blaze. I really like it - it has a Z! and Felix is the name you love. Felix Blaze......Yep, I'm really liking the sound of it.
I think Felix Blaze is a great choice- I agree it has the X and Z in there! And it uses the name I've called this baby by accident all pregnancy so it seems it just should be. I think I may keep Baxter Felix as a short list contender and decide on the day though. I prefer the NNs from Baxter but I think I still prefer the name Felix.
That sounds like a good plan. I can't wait to read your BA!!!! :D

Not at all! I really appreciate the input and your personal experiences :D I was aware Griffin was increasing in popularity so it's good to hear a real life example. I also don't love that it ends in an N sound like my son's name does... I'd prefer their names sound different from each other so I think Griffin was due to be scratched. LOVE the name though :D
I had decided to just not name a baby boy till the last day the birth certificate was due but now we're on the clock as we're moving OS in Feb and need to get birth certificate, then passport then visa all sorted first! :lol:

He's here! Thanks everyone for letting me talk this out... even in labour I was calling him Felix. So when he was born there was no question it just had to be. Felix Blaze was born yesterday at 4.20pm :D
