There's a little girl at my mothers group named Ever (spelt and pronounced that way). I thought it was weird to start with but it's kind of grown on me and I quite like it now.
I don't think it's the end of the world if you and DH pronounce it differently. My little boy is Elijah - DH pronounces it with a hard J and I say it with a soft J - hardly anyone notices.
