I wouldn't worry about it. My parents held off calling me a name because it was the same as a TV character. Now, if I use it, nobody's heard of her. Politicians are very often the same. He's not heading for Prime Ministerial duties, and even if he is, whatever. Kevins don't get teased for having the same name as the PM, and, to be honest, the name Whitlam is on our list because of a politician.
I would LOVE for you to use the name Barnaby. Particularly Barnaby Roy as a combination. Because, with our surname, his initials would be BRA. So it is not currently on the list :(
i say if you like Barnaby stick with it!
my son's name is Nixon and in america its actually not so popular cause of Richard Nixon but i never associate him with my son!
How about getting a new last name?
Your DP would only have to get new a drivers license, passport, bank accounts, medicare card .........
Sorry, not helping...
Rowellen that's a great idea! He could change his name to my surname, which is actually my XH's surname from when I was married! (I've not changed it after the divorce). Then we could all be one big happy family!! LOL
OK that was sarcastic, sorry ;) Very funny, honey!
Nickers, Nixon is nice! Now you've got me thinking about that option!
Snugglybean, I can the see problem with naming your son BRA, sorry it's not an option for you!
I think Kevins would get teased no matter who's PM actually!
As for all your Mr Darcy droolers, well Colin Firth is a very attractive man, I think that's why DP was on the Poncy bandwagon - he can't have his son's namesake being better looking than Daddy!!!
Barnaby ROCKS!
How about Spencer?
Thanks all for your advice last month...
We called him Barnaby! :confetti:
It gets mixed reactions... the inlaws aren't so sure but most people seem to think it's a lovely name! He is getting Barnaby, Barney and Banana so far. :)
i love the name Barnanby....banannas is too cute!
LOVE LOVE LOVE the name!!!! Well done! Bugger the inlaws!
Thanks Ginger! Thanks Roses!
