MD I was waiting for you to say Elspeth.
I vote Zoe lol.
Elspeth is an idea worth recycling.
I like Elspeth, but I always think of Prisioner.
Ok... so I thought about it all day and couldn't handle not remembering, so I called my mum. Said "What's Uncle Gordon's wife's name?" She goes "Joyce". I said "No, the Canadian one, in Queensland." She says "Well his name's Don, not Gordon, and her name is Ernestine." She gets called Aunty Ernie, not Aunty Eddie, and I got my Uncle's name wrong too! Man I suck right now, totally blaming this on baby brain and going to hide under the quilt now :hide:
I really liked the name of a wee bubba in our MG she is called Anouk.
And i also had a baby in Marta's room at CC called Arlo, which was pretty and yet strong ITMS.
from your list i love Rose and Remy :)
Anouk is gorgeous!!! A friend wanted it but her DP said No
Maeve
Aubrey
Gigi
Sadie
Maude
Stella
Pia
Zooey
I didn't know Arlo was used as a girls name, i know a little boy called Arlo.
I like Anouk, it's dutch too isn't it? I used to like Elke too.
Sorry MD, Elspeth reminds me of a girl i went to school with who was...... unusual. :p I do like Edith though.... We did think about Enid, as it's DG'd grandma's name.
I like Zoe, but maybe a bit popular?
If anyone knows my married name you have to say it and Audrey 3 times quickly. The first syllable is Aud as well. Amusing, but not do-able.
MNB- I really like Sahti, but no S names allowed.
Feeb- Mabel is really cute. Maisey is a cute nick name too. I also like Harriet, that was on our last list.
MadB- How do you say Ara? I always have a little smile when i see Mathilde. I alwasy think it was meant to me Matilda but they had a lisp. :p
EJ- DD1's name has an Ella sound in it. So no Ella type names. But i do love Elsie, that's cute.
Thanks so much for all your suggestions. I have some more to email to DH now. we shall see what he says! He's so indecisive though.
You think naming the 3rd child is hard - wait till you have 4! LOL.
I know a very beautiful Edith so I think of her and it's a great name :)
I know another little girl called Alba- gorgeous name!
I knew an Anouk from France- I think it's French?
Trill it's so much harder! I don't how you do it after 2. Can't start with this, can't sound like that, can't end in this, as well as not being an ex boyfriends sisters dogs name?! :wall:
That was pretty much Dh's 'rules' too. It made it so hard. Oh and add in the 'I went to boarding school with someone called that and they were a ****head' rule too LOL. With DS2 I just said right, if it is a boy he will be called this and unless you can come up with a better name then that's what it is - needless to say I won ;) But even with DD2, we had a few names picked out and none of them we were really in love with and if she was a boy she'd not have had a name at all.
Aurelia?
I like Billie too - in fact lots of the ones on your list are nice
And I agree you cant go Audrey
Kensley?
Just saw a name that is a little different but I thought was really nice Antanella, but it went really well with her surname so I guess maybe that might be part of the attraction.
Kazzo, I went to high school with an Antonella but she was the only one I'd ever heard of before
One of my highschool teachers was Antoinella, pronounced An-twon-ella, beautiful name :)
The one at my school was nicknamed undies. Don't ask.
Undies?! :o
I agree it's a really pretty name. It's a shame we can't have any Ella sounding names.....
Names are too hard!
Don't worry JM, you have heaps of time to decide - you haven't left it to the last minute at all lmao
Good luck though, I am sure I will be in here myself in a couple of months. Names are hard.
 I like living on the edge, being organised is no fun! :p
Frances
Jemimia
Genevieve
Beatrice
I've always liked Jemima.... Hmmm
Beatrice??? :o
Eugenie
Beatrice is an awesome name. You just have to ignore the royal faux-reindeer and concentrate instead on giving it the shouting test. If it sounds good when you shout it's a winner.
Beatrix might be better..... except it reminds me of dominatrix.
Hmm not sure on that MD.
given the high probability of red hair and my distaste for the monarchy, Beatrice ain't gonna happen! That's just cruel. :p
I was just running with the royals-without-finesse theme...
 I wasn't sure if you were taking the **** or not!
Junglemum -I love all your names on the list! I think any of those would be lovely for a little pink bundle :) goodluck
If you're gonna go Royal theme, my vote goes to Party Girl Pippa
Catherine.
Camilla
Margaret
Stop it, you guys are killing me.
You know it's cruel to make the fat lady laugh and pee!!!
