DH and I call him Cae (as in 'K'). I call him Cae Jae ('K-J'), because his full name is C aelan J ames. My kids often call him Cae-Cae ('K-K'). My mum is appalled we call him Cae because it sounds like Kaye, as in the female name  which I think is ridiculous. When I tell people his name, they often say Caleb or Callum/Callan. And people have difficulty spelling it too. But, it doesn't bother me really. I knew naming him it would probably be a bit of an issue because it isn't a common name. But my DD is L ily and people can't spell that either. I get every variation under the sun, usually excepting the most basic way to spell it, which we chose because it is the way lily is spelt (as in the flower) and figured it would be the most obvious and popular way to spell it, but it seems that's not so!
