Stanley then Basil :D
Stanley then Basil :D
 So glad to see the Basil fan club out in full force. :bluecheer: I hope he looks like a Basil then.
I think Edward will get popular, with the whole Twilight thing.
I like Basil and Leo.
I love the name Leo but I do know about 4 Leo's in DS's daycare. So Leo seems to be becoming quite a popular name.
I really love Basil and George too!
Theodore?
I like Edward & Leo from your list.
My pick is Leo
Another fan of Leo here!
Thanks everyone.
 I know, I know! (I’m rolling my eyes at myself, btw  ).
Gosh, Leo is a popular choice isn’t it.... but since I put it on the list, I’ve decided that it reeeeealy doesn’t go well with our surname, way too many “O” sounds. :wall:
Polly A, MadB and sconeonamission – thanks for those suggestions, they are the kind of names that we like (and actually MadB, my other grandfather is Eric).
helle – we thought about Theodore/Theo, but now it has the same problem as Leo.
Ash – We can’t use Rohan, we just can’t, but if we did I’m sure I would say it Ro-harne!!! Because it’s just such a great word to say like that.
So this is what I’m left with now.
Basil
Alfred
George
Edward
You have a short-list, that's great. Did you want to have one name picked out or are you happy to stick with a short-list and see what name suits him best (if he is a he, as adamantly asserted by middle aged tradie bloke)?
I like Basil George as a combo too.
Oh, no, no, no, we’d never actually name a bub until we have seen it, so no need to pick THE name now. So yeah, I guess a short list is good. :D
Hi Rach,
CONGRATULATIONS HUN ON BABY NOS 3 :happyforyou:
I love your names for your first 2 and think we have similar taste in names :)
My two boys are : Edward Louis & Rupert Nicholas
So for me I like Edward of course !!
But i do love Leo & George (Basil is cute but for me I knew a cranky old Basil that lived next door to my nan growing up so Basil doesnt appeal to me because of that only!!)
Anyway what about Louis??
Umm.. girls names
I love Eloise (very pretty)
Eliza?????????????????????
Best of luck and wishing you all the best with your new arrival
Okay, all the names you think don't go with Angus I think go rather well, but I gather you are wanting them not to be so rhymey?
So from your list, those names aside, I like Rohan (which you can't use) and Stanley the most.
Others I like that I think go Ok wig your kids names are
Henry
Hamish
Connor
Cohen
Liam
Declan
Ronald
Donald
Malcolm
I finally remembered the name I've been searching my brain for
Denzil
Well I'm biased. I think Leo is a great name :) I had no idea it was so popular.
When I read your shorter short-list like this as one name: Basil Alfred George Edward, it reminded me of the royal family :) Are you sure you don't want baby to have 3 middle names?
Henry, Charles, William, James etc could be added to that list too. Theodore could be shortened to Ted or Teddy
I guess it depends on what baby looks like
well of course im gonna say Elise as it's my younger sister's name i named my DD's middle name after, but then again my Mum was in favour of Eloise too :happydance:
My DD's two Great-Great-Uncle's who are brothers are Stanely (Stan) and Leo (and they are in their 90's) !! ...
I think Eloise and Leo goes perfectly with your other childrens name !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like Basil.
Edward....even though my gorgeous nephew is called Edward because it is a family name I still think Edward is too Twilight.
Tristan?
Hugo?
