Opinions on 'unusual' girls names

you have a nice selection of names there!

I like Asha, Amaya & Jaida best. Anaiya is another name I like as is Jaiya.

Leni would be my least fave.

I know too many boys named Asher to think of it as a girls name.

Absolutely love all of them, especially Amaya & Asha :loveshower: ... thought not a fan of Leni as it reminds me of the short version of Leonard :rolleyes:

My DD's has an usual name if you need another for your list ;) Her name is Cendrine :D ... OR another - i know a little girl named Ashmita (of Indian origin) !!

I know of two Amaya's. Both pronounced uh-may-a. But it always makes be wonder if it should be pronounced uh-mye-a? I see a lot of people calling their girls Maya and pronouncing it may-a, but I would have thought to pronounce it like Myer. Just a thought.

It's the name I wanted to give DD but it sounded terrible with our surname (all ran together) so I had to give it up. Well that and DH HATED it :rolleyes:

I LOVE ALLIRA!!! but i prefer the spelling Alira. its a gorgeous name, just rolls off your tongue.

also i love AMAYA!!! ive never heard that but we had Maya picked out for all our girls but never actually chose it, when u say Amaya fast it sounds like Maya aswell.

Amaya and Allira are defenately my fav.

jaida is okay.. its not as pretty as the other two.

i dont really like willow at all... but so many people are callin their kids that.
theres 2 willows at my day care center!!

i dont like leni at all...

and asha is kind of cute... but i know 3 ashas already and theyre all boys!!!

Asha means hope in Sanskrit, and Willow just gives me a picture of a beautiful soft little girl

i know a baby called jayda (might a common name now?) and my sil's cat's called lenny!
