I think the y makes it look girly. If you want to be different, so it fits in with your other kids' names, I second Keike's suggestion of Hudsen.

Both hunter and Hudson were on or short list. I love the both. I do prefer it Spelt hudson though
Sorry but I think the Y looks silly and out of place and runins a nice name. i like Hudson.
hudsyon?
i used to live in hudson court!
love the name :)
theres a hudson court near my parents house lol
Im another one for not being fond of the "y" spelling, it makes it feminine using the "y" i think, but thats just my opinion and i am in no way critising.
At the end of the day though, hes your baby and you should use the spelling you like :)
thats a bit uncalled for!
we added the Hs to make me them slightly different and Dakotah and Jhetts names are both spelt that way in a baby name book
I do like the 'O' better :) And I also think your other kids names are gorgeous, I know a Jhett :D Dunno why nasty comments are coming into this!!!
im liking the O more
thank you xoxo
thats why he chose the H for for jhett cause everyone said we know a jett lol so i just wanted to change it a little

and then i was so touched by all your replys i was close to tears again but this time how lovely people can be xoxo
Babe you dont need to justify your choices to anyone, they are your choices and people need to respect them..
And as for dissing childrens names? that is just immature and so uncalled for.
They are gorgeous names no matter what the spelling is.. Smile babe you are very much loved :)
personally don't like the y,but love the name Hudson.
I likE the name Hudson! Not with the Y, though. I agree that it may look a bit girly!
Fwiw - I honestly didn't see Jhett as spelt incorrectly (just like Rhett, with a J) and like the 'h' with Dakotah
Coming from a person who has had to spell their name out for people their whole life - it's not a big deal. Mine isn't spelt an unusual way, but isn't overly common - unless you are Greek.
And it certainly hasnt harmed me having to spell it out - big friggin deal.
You just form the opinion that other people are the idiots for not being able to spell it ;)
You go with the spelling that you like best - and stuff everyone else. I've never bothered with them. And I've learnt that even if you spell a name how its pronounced - people will still ask for clarification of pronunciation so you can't win either way.
