Yeah DH family name is German but the decendants came from some small boarder town between Denmark and Germany, on the Dane side.

Thanks so much everyone.
I do have another Scandinavian name that I would LOVE to use but no one ever seems to like it ... especially DH he hates it. Its Vibeke (Vib - beck- ah) I have loved it since a world famous Ballroom/Latin Dancer came out to Australia when I was 15. She was the most gorgeous woman and was the MOST amazing dancer.
I adore Vibeke but yeah its a name sadly I will never be able to use, not sure I could name my child "little housemaid" either
;)

Ruby and Elira are my favourites and go best with Shae :)
I'm not a fan of Tori but I Love Amara and Ruby. I also like Elira :)
I think Ruby, Shae and Nikita go really nicely together hun!
 at the housemaid! Maybe not!
I love Amara. I sounds soft and feminine when you say it. The hotel chain is Amora.
Aliera is another spelling option for Elira. I just googled Elira. It's an Albanian name, meaning 'free'. I like it.
I love Ruby! It was our girls name last time round and again this time... It's such a pretty name that's cute for a little girl and dignified and sophisticated for a grown woman.
I love Amara and Ruby.
I really like the name Allira too, it's an Aboriginal name meaning daughter. (I think)
I wish I had have added a Poll to this thread now  would make it much easier to show hubby.
Thanks ladies x x x x x x
Freja is one of my FAV names ever and suits the scandi theme, or Tori is good too ( I love tori amos lol)
Amara is such a pretty name and my fav on your list, another similar name is Samara which i also like
Not a fan of Ruby i think its getting too common and Tori spelling what have u done to your name, dh suggested this name to me a few weeks ago but the first thing that popped into my head was her seperation cleavage!!
another name i have only heard once and by an adult but quiet like and different Seona (see-own-a) (not sho-na)
My pick from your list is Freja. Gorgeous name.
I don't really like Tori. Also, it can be short for Victoria.
I also like Jolie, Ruby & Amara - in that order.
Just adding that I love Amara as well. As tash said, very feminine and pretty. My local Pharmacist's name is Mara and she is very feminine and kind if you want a version of Amara :)
Freja :) but im biased
Freya (Freja) was on my list for a long time... and possible still is if i get to a 3rd girl. Its the Norse Goddess of love, (Friday is named after her), so it is a very powerful name.
I'm partial to the name you appeared to have made up too =)
Pick something that is special to you, or even see what your baby likes, you can sit down nice and relaxed and still (like meditation - depending how deep you want to go) and say the names, think of their meaning etc... and see how your little one reacts. that might help you decide too.
 I had forgotten about this thread until it popped up.
Sadly all except Ruby were vetoed in a MONSTER way by DH ..... however we DO have a name he is "thinking" about and I don't want to push my luck with it as I know that every time I say the name out loud to baby she wiggles around sooo I take that as her liking the name
IF I can get DH to approve it the first and middle name is - Willow Mae.
I am keeping my mouth shut and not pushing the name on him at all this time and the fact that aside from his initial reaction he has not said much against it (or for it but still) I am keeping everything crossed ;)

does he have any suggestions?
