Mum's mum is Josephine May (Miss T got her middle name)
Dad's mum was Dulcie Maureen (poor dear, not the prettiest of names, but I am told she was a beautiful women and I was lucky enough to get her middle name as mine.)
Dh's grandmothers are Judy Ann and Merral (oh my, I hope thats how you spell it! :redface: )

I just asked DH what his Dad's mum's name was and he said "nanna"

My mothers adopted mother is Margaret-Alice, her birth mother is Lorraine.
My dads adopted mother is Marjory, his birth mother is Olivia
My husbands grandmother is Anne and nanna is Audrey

I would use Anne, Olivia and Grace :)
Nancy and Elsa. My stepgran is Elsie (married my grandfather about 15yrs ago, long after Nancy died) and Elsie is also on DH's side and is DD's middle name :)

ETA: There is an american website where you can search for the most popular names by decade going back to about 1890. Google search "top 1000 baby names". It is a USA govt website.
Doris and Irmgard (German).
My Grandma whose name is Irmgard gets called Emmy. Doris was Dot when she was alive. (And our parents' names aren't any more 'usable' in our opinions either - Pamela and Narelle. We went with my name as middle name to get a family tradition of our own going).
I have a friend whose DD is called Anna. Her other DDs are Alexandra and Natasha.
I think DP's grandma had a sister called Clara, it's the only family name I pulled out that I liked from his side.
My nanna was Bernice Marie, but she hated Bernice so was always called Marie (pronounced MAH ree)
My grandma was Lorraine, always called Lorrie

Paternal Grandma was Thelma Joyce (born around 1920 or 1930) i think.
My Mum is Lorraine Merle (born 1948)
Also on DH's side
His Maternal Nan was Nellie Joyce(born around 1930-1940) I think but she was known as Joyce as she hated Nellie and I have to say we both LOVE Nellie but most likely won't ever use it :(
His Paternal Grandma was Audrey(not sure when she was born).
My Nan's sisters were Hilda, Eunice, Beryl, Joy and Joan.
