Trillian, we had the FastDNA test done a couple of weeks ago after my poor blood results at 12 weeks. Once that came back ok we decided that we didn't want any more surprises. So we are having a boy.:

I think it's a lovely name, and I don't think people will even notice that it's the same as a comedian - it's a "normal" name, not something people will say "oh, you named him after the famous comedian."
The first name is also on my list. I like it a lot.
Ok, worked it out...I don't think it will be a problem, most especially if you use the long form of the first name. Let the family chortle all they want, he seems like a good bloke. You could definitely do worse.
