i'm excited.... i've got a 3 year old and an 11 week old asleep by 7pm!!!! its heaven... tomorrow i might even try for 6.45pm.....
i can never really guarantee what time i am going to be up in the mornings with an 11 week old, so its the bedtimes at night that i need to get a good deal with.... that said i do not plan on letting either of them up until 7am, maybe 6.45am at the earliest... not sure how it will go, but i could jump for joy, we usually have bed times of between 8pm-9pm, and for them to actually be asleep at 7pm, its like a dream come true...
i don't know how its going to work when the in laws drop around at 6.30pm or later constantly... do you think i can say something, like somehow say the kids go to bed EARLY now...?

Worked ok here for us too... DD1 was too busy running amock with her cousin and had such a full on day, she went down prob around the normal time but slept in til 7 this morning... she never used to sleep til 8... see even with the time dif she's up by 7...
DD2 doesn't really affect yet, she still did her night time stuff around (albeit a little earlier) but she will hopefully sleep 6-8hrs then go every 3hrs from there.

No hiccups here either - they woke at the normal time which was actually 6.40am (would normally have been around 7.30am but I can live with that! Expecting them to wake around 7.30am tomorrow as normal...fingers crossed! I must admit, I much prefer putting them to bed at 7pm and it being dark :)

Ugh, we were up at 5:30, despite putting DS to bed LATE.
5:30 is not a nice time.

Jess, 4.45.
We managed to wrestle her back into bed until 6.00 but she didn't sleep much.
It's going to be a looooooooooooooooong winter.....

Bit me in the butt this morning....4.40am. OMG, I didn't think I could hate getting up any more than I did at 5am, but 4.40....it should be illegal! DD slept til about 5.45 though. Yay  The upside is they have had a 1 3/4 hour sleep this arvo and still going! DS took 2 seconds to get into bed for his arvo nap but wanted to go back to bed at 10am! I stretched him out til 11 but couldn't stand his whining and grumpiness any longer! They're going to bed at 7pm, but it's the mornings that are all over the shop! I hope they sort themselves out a bit tonight, I have to go to work tomorrow!

DD1 went to bed at 6:30 last night (unheard of here) after a HUGE day i guess and slept in til 7 :o i swear this kid is up by 7 - 7:30 at the latest every day, even with the time change.. why couldn't she sleep til 8am previously?
Wonder how she will go today, she was up at 7, went to bed just after 11am and is still asleep.. 2hrs and counting.

Crappy sleeping for all of us here, battling to get her to go back to sleep, we are all feeling sleep deprived....

Well, the positive is that we got an almost 3 hour nap out of DS today, which was awesome.
And even more awesome....DS is staying at my mum's tonight!!! Super yay! Hello sleep in.... (ie- anything beyond 6am).

well i was awake before any of the kids, and bubs woke at 6am so thought i may as well 'let him get up' after his feed.... 3 year old dd didn't surface until about 7.20am.... it was quite nice watching the morning news shows just with the bub, uninterupted cuddles etc.... aaaaaagh babies seem so easy at the moment compared to toddlers.... in a weird kinda way, even though they are so utterly dependent... they don't make as much noise (when they are content!)
oh and they don't demand ABCkids on the tele in the mornings.
