Developmental delays in 9 month old?

I always think if you need to post on here it's bothering you enough to get it checked. Hopefully it's nothing but it's better to find out either way.

Hun I would get her checked out.

DS1 did not crawl till he was 13 months old, he rolled everywhere from 10 months and then started comando crawling and then finally crawling at 13 months and didn't walk until 21 months!!

He was lazy in my books, but pead puts it down as devlopmental delay. He is fine now with walking etc, but is still not ready to TT. So seems like everything will be delayed.

My friend has a son who is very much like this.
He is completely normal in most other aspects, he's around 13 months now, and up until he was about 10 months old, he couldn't crawl, he could sit well, and roll and things, but he would NOT weight bare on his legs, you'd try stand him up, and he'd just flop his legs, and he is also quite a "floppy" baby ITMS? Like my DD is quite solid when you hold her, but her DS, just seems reeeeaallly relaxed lol.
But anyway, he crawled at 10ish months, of his own accord, one day he decided to get up on his hands and knees (no prompting), and literally the next day he was crawling! Out of the blue! He is even standing himself up and cruising along furniture now, again, of his own accord, and in his own time :)
Does DDs siblings tend to bring her the things she wants? Perhaps that could be a facor, she knows they'll get it for her? :lol:

If something in your gut tells you something is wrong - its better to be safe than sorry IMO, but if she seems to be fine in other aspects, maybe leave it awhile longer and see what happens?

I think it can't hurt to have it checked out Hun. All bubbas do things at their own pace, plus S has 3 siblings to get her stuff and entertain her so she might not need to move around as much? GP should be able to give her a quick assessment, and if need be refer her to a paed xx

Did you follow up on this Mrs N? Just wondering as I took DD to a physio and it seems her hypermobility is affecting her development.

You've described by DS to a T there! Took him to a Pead Physio a day shy of 10 months and 2 days later he started crawling, walked at 13 months.

I would suggest you go to a Pead Physio. You don't need a referral, their rates are quite reasonable (paid $80 for my first visit) and they can not only tell you if everything is 100% but mine always gave me loads of handouts etc to help DS.
