What an ordeal you have been through and what a relief it must be to have V back at home. I knew V was a fighter and would get through it. :) Don't forget to take care of yourself too Cheryl! Big hugs to you both.
ETA - Just watched the news reports. It's nice to put faces to names. V doesn't look small to me at all - maybe that's cos I'm used to seeing my little M.

Csab - I've been away for 2 weeks and have just read this thread.
I am so sorry poor little V had to go thru all of this but am so so happy she is going home.
Much love...

Thankyou all so much, however I think the only person that will be running a nice warm bath for me, will be me. :) I have the social worker calling me tomorrow to have a chat, the only problem is now, I am not sure if I want to talk about it anymore. grrrr. I dont really want to cry anymore. I just look at V and cant believe I still have her. phew!!!!
She seems so much back to herself, its amazing, how far she has come over these last couple of weeks. Another strange thing is V was born with a V on her forehead, every so often it gets lighter (her V for victory mark) Well since her recovery her V is so much more lighter then before she was admitted. Yet I have always said that this V will stay until she proves everyone wrong. Such a beautiful bubba girl, and such a definate fighter.
Mspink - Thankyou hun, I hope you enjoyed your holiday. I am just relieved that V is here still, not sure I would have coped if I lost her. hugs
Tanya - Its funny, ever since V was born her size was decieving. Maybe due to her face looked more fuller than the rest of her, and the rest of her was covered. Actually she looked like she had grown abit while in hospital, I will need to get her measured next week. I asked the hospital to weigh her once she got to a ward last week as I was able to see her ribs and just new she had lost alot of weight. They were going to, but I think I needed to remind them. V takes such along time to gain weight as you know so losing 500gm was a huge setback. I am still shocked that she dropped down to 4.84kgs, (she weighed the same on Tuesday this week) it is a weight of a one - three month old practically not an almost 9mth old. Hence why I am so worried about her having to go thru this again when she has so much weight to gain. She may not make it next time. Which scares the cr*p out of me. How is little M going? Has she been putting on the weight? HUgs Ohh just wanted to add that we had huggies newborn nappies on V while in hosptial and the infant size we have at home seem alittle big on her now.

Thanks again for everything Georgi. Were they the same news shown or abit different? I am hoping the kids get better again soon, V is alittle scared of them with the masks on?:)

Oh Cheryl, so sorry I did'nt see this earlier, glad little V is okay now..she truely is a little fighter.. I hope her weight starts to go up, that would be a big worry. (I understand how scary it is to have a child on life support...DS spent 10 days in Royal childrens:pray:oh my god truely the most frightening experience of my life and now I am a germ freak:redface: )

Thanks so much Pam, it was definately the most frightening for me too. So glad it is over.
Was able to get V weighed at her peaditraican today and the poly joule the dieticians put her on seems to have done wonders for her weight. I am and as well as the DR are amazed at how much weight she put on this week. Have never seen a weight gain like this on her before. Anyway, last weeks weight was 4.84, this week 5.24kgs. Almost gained all her weight back on that she lost. Woohoo. So happy.
