Has your mummy gut ever been wrong

    Hi,

My dh thinks my 3 yr is developed delay and may have some form of autism, where I think he is just stubborn and a bit lazy.
I have asked my day care to do a report for him to take the doc's, which they did. From reading it there seems to be a problem.

I don't know what to go with but I feel I should just get him checked, just in case.

Well, if you think your kid is lazy then perhaps you've already figured that something is 'wrong' or different, it just might not be the same thing you thought it was. I know there have been times when I thought x was wrong, when it turned out to be something else entirely... but there was *something*, if that makes sense.
There's no harm in getting another opinion, anyway.

Don't know where you live but if it's like where I live you will wait a few months for a developmental paediatrician's assessment (you might need to sell the house to pay for it too!). So book in now and if it gets closer and you don't think you need it, cancel the appt a month out.

I always say, listen to your gut instinct. We went to a GP who gave us a developmental paed referral, it took 6 months to see the specialist but it was well worth it. GL!
