Arrgh I was so excited about this... I exfoliated it in the shower but forgot to "scratch" at it (so to speak!) after my shower - mumnesia lol! Tomorrow... tomorrow. Just tried it now, and it didn't work
Lol! I had the dirty belly button too. I scratched at it in the last few weeks while it was sticking out.
My linea nigra went with DD1 with in a few weeks. I didn't get it with my younger 2.
Belfie - Definitely try it in the shower or bath, I think it works better when wet!
i still have mine, quite faint but my DD is 11 months old!
Still have mine after 4 month, got rid of the 'dirty looking' belly button after a few months with the scratching, wasnt a good look :) i heard somewhere that the line stays till you finish breast feeding but thats probably just one of those old wives tales.
yaaaay scratching at it in the shower helped! Definitely less dirty now... thanks Trish!!!!
Mine, which was reasonably dark disappeared within a very short time, so quickly that I hadn't even thought about it until I saw this thread!
to chalk a mark against that old wives tale, I am still BF 12 months on!:

Belfie, what do you mean by a scar?
About 5 years ago I had my gall bladder removed (along with a 3cm gallstone) endoscopically through my bellybutton. In theory it leaves minimal scarring, but because my gallstone was such a fatty, they had to do a slightly bigger incision (1") to remove it... I think the surgeon thought he was being nice trying to hide it under my bellybutton (yah, cos I wear those midriff-showing tops all the time... NOT!) but he didn't consider the linea nigra!
Good to know that yours disappeared nice & quick though!
Hooray Belfie, I'm glad it worked for you too! :cheer:
I'm glad I was of some help LOL!
