Don't worry my son is 5 mths and hated tummy time, now he turn himself over and gives it to himself. I had to start him off with him lying tummy to tummy (me lying down with him on my tummy). I also found that he liked lying on our bed with me for tummy time. Sometimes getting down with them and keeping them entertained by talking or shaking toys will distract them. Also I found the time of day made a difference, like after a good sleep aslong as they are not starving.

"They" put soooo much pressure on us as parents to give our babies tummy time it's ridiculous....all you ever hear is...."tummy time, tummy time, tummy time!!! Aarrggghhh...whatever!!!
Cohen hated it too. He is only just starting to enjoy it now that he can roll over but only in short spurts. He didn't spend much time on his tummy when he was younger cause I couldn't stand to watch him smash his head on the floor and scream in discomfort...his neck muscles are really strong and not putting him on his tummy hasn't made them weak or anything like that. What about all those babies overseas with mothers that don't have the "Over education" that we do??? You don't see them crawling around dragging their heads cause their mothers didn't give them tummy time!!! I say go with your baby. You'll know when he is ready for tummy time cause he'll do it himself!
Just thought i would put my 2cents in.
DD#1 had tummy time and still did not hold head up, sit up or crawl till well over 9 months. She rolle,sat up and crawlled at about 10months all in a week. but did not walk or cruise furntiture till 15 months.
DD#2 no tummy time didn't help with her reflux to un comfy, was rolling at 4 months and started to sit and do the crawl postion at 6 months, put into a hip brace, learnt to roll and sit in this durring that time. Came out of hip brace and crawled within 3 days, and was walking at 12 months with support and on own at 14 months.
Just shows that tummy time is not all it has cracked up to be.
I had another bub who hated tummy time. I didn't bother until he was 3-4 months and then only did a couple of minutes every few days when I remembered. He started sitting unsupported at 4.5 months, crawled at 8 months and walked at 8.5 months. I don't think the lack of tummy time hindered him in any way.
