Hi girls!! On cloud nine here! So over the moon.
I have to say that that was the hardest thing that I have ever done in my life. I wanted to quit soo many times, but just dug deeper with lots of support from my DH and midwife. Can't believe I did it!!!!
Dd was around in the house for the last hr or so because she was at daycare most of the day. She wasn't phased at all by mummy "singing" to the baby. She didn't watch the actual birth of the baby, but gave her sister a kiss within mins. I had a gf who is setting up a birth photography business, video and photograph the birth and she captured it all. So when she has edited it I will be able to have a look.
Baby slept all night without waking, but I was so excited I barely slept. Will no doubt crash down off this high some time this arvo.

Thank u girls for all of the lovely wishes. We are still on cloud nine.
We have finally named our little girl Madeleine Louise Suzanne.
Maddie is still in that sleepy newborn stage and mostly sleeping. She is just so cute!!! I am totally smitten with her . Can't believe that she is nearly 2 days old already! Can't wait till I get to see the video and pictures. It will be amazing. But I will wait. All in good time :)
Anyway thank you for the support ladies. It has been lovely to read all of your well wishes as they have come in. I feel very blessed.

Thanks girls. I wrote up my birth story last night. It needs a read thru and some more details added but then I will post it soon and add a link.
This morning the little princess and I have just spent an hour gazing at each other. I have gotten outta bed to let my exhausted hubby get a sleep in- he has been heroic in his care of us. But it is beautiful and rainy here this morning and I am enjoying the quiet watchfulness of the old soul staring out at me from behind her eyes.
