Hi everyone.... Thank you all for your well wishes. The birth was incredibly quick. I was already 2cm's dialated when I got to the hospital for the induction. The gel was inserted at 7am. It didn't do much but give me regular braxton hicks so I just had a nap & read a magazine. The Ob came back at 10.45am and I was nearly 3cm, he then broke my waters. The contractions started at 2 mins apart and were really managable. Around 12.15 I was getting some nasty ones & some managable. By 12.30pm I was asking for an epidural, I was 4cm but by 1pm I was 8cm & 1.15pm I was 10! Only a few pushes & Eden was born. OMG.... So fast. I never expected that. An absolutely amazing experience. Eden was placed straight onto my chest and took only 20 mins or so to find the breast. He attached perfectly the first time and is just a pro at feeding. My milk has already come in so he's nice & settled today. We're heading home tomorrow morning after he has his hearing test. He'll get weighed again over night. I'm sure he hasn't lost too much weight as he's been feeding so well.
