Hi all my gorgeous friends...
Thankyou for all your kind words and messages.
Just a quick update to let you know Isabella and Sebastian and the most DIVINE little people I have ever laid eyes on and they are doing exceptionally well.
Both little ones were moved to special care the night they were born and both are breathing on their own.
Little Isabella is just so tiny and precious and she looks just like I did when I was born.
Baby Sebastian in only 400 grams bigger than his little sister but he looks so much bigger than that! He was having a few apneas yesterday but he is doing really well. And he looks just like his daddy.
I got to have a good cuddle yesterday but I just wanted to run away with them, not put them back in their little humidicribs!
There is talk that if they continue being this well behaved, our babies will be transferred back down the Gold Coast to be looked after in SCN there.
I am managing to express my 'liquid gold' before my milk comes in, and they are being tube fed for a few weeks before they can suck. I am sore from the C/S and pretty weak from spending 9 and half weeks in bed but I have nothing to complain about.
I'll come back at a later time with a proper birth story, but honestly, amid all the stress and sirens in the ambulance getting to the hospital and the rush of giving birth to our children, I could not have wished for a more perfect day with a more perfect outcome.

So glad to hear that you Isabella and Sebastian are all doing so well.
Oh Bel, I am soooooo thrilled for you and your DH. What a wonderful outcome for such an horrendous journey. Isabella and Sebastien are such little fighters.... I am sure they will be home before you know it. Enjoy some real rest now for at least a few days... not having to stress over when they are going to arrive.
Congratulations again on doing such a great job of getting your precious babies this far!

Update on Bel and the twins...
Everyone is doing well.. Isabella and Sebastian have both been steadily gaining weight as mummy is spending most of her time expressing for their every feed.. They have been in the special care nursery for 3 weeks now and they will have reached a huge milestone tomorrow when they will have their monitoring gadgets removed... Bel says thankyou to everyone who has passed on their best wishes and it means a lot to her... She's very tired but so happy with her new babies and family..

Thanks for the update Dee ... Bel am so happy that Sebastian and Isabella are doing well and are coming off their monitoring gadgets and are growing well. Cant wait to see pics and i am sure you are looking forward to going home!

Update for the Twins
Both Sebastian and Isabella are doing so well.. It's been 4 weeks since they were born and they are powering through their milestones... Both are off the monitors and Sebastian has graduated from Humidicrib to a normal Crib and can now wear 00000 clothes and they fit... There is still a long way to go (time wise) before heading home but they are so strong and healthy now... Bel says Hi and thanks everyone for their well wishes...

A bit of an update...
The last I spoke to Bel she said that it looked like the Bubs were coming home last Friday.. I haven't heard anything to the contrary and I bet it's been flat out at their place since then... Both babies were breast fededing well and this is why they could go home...

Babies not home yet..
Had a little episode last week that made Ms B just too nervous to ship them home.
The are absolutely fine...but they are still small, so she felt much better leaving them in till this week.

I'm so glad that they are almost ready to go home, and I think you are an absolute superstar for being at a point where both your babies are breastfeeding well. I can't imagine what a long and tough journey it would have been to get to this point after their birth. You're a courageous and strong, strong mother, Bel.
I hope that when you do bring them home it's the most magical and special time for you and DH.
