Morning All,
Thankyou all for your lovely messages, that really do mean so much.
Well as you all know my beautiful little girl Olivia had arrived on the 14th. I was really hoping that all the stress of the pgcy would ease once little Olivia had arrived but that was not the case. There is going to be alot more visits for my little princess to the pediatricians unfortunately. They are wanting to keep a very close eye on her. We had several pediatricians a day coming in to check up on Olivia from the second she was born. I see perfection, unfortunately they see a little girl with different features to what is so called the norm. I see a little girl that is so much like her older brother her is also so very petite and small for his age. I see a little girl that is just as alert, quiet, etc, just as her siblings were. I see no difference.
My little Olivia, ( V ), we will become accustomed to calling her, due to a prominent V mark in between her eyes just above her nose (should disappear with time), which we believe symbolises Victory on her part, as she has come this far and has proven what a strong little girl she is, is such a sweeet little girl and just loves her cuddles.
She had a rough few days with having her little body poked and proded, also having sugar tests done every 3hours to make sure her temp was remaining right. The cry she would let out, was so sad. All she wanted was a cuddle from mum, which she definately got rewarded with, she also felt more relaxed in my arms and didnt want to be a way from me. She eventually began to relax alittle more once the sugar tests had stopped, her little feet were purple and bruised from them.
I couldnt cope anyore in hospital, as I felt like my little girl and I were on show for the DR's and other medical staff, so made my plee yesterday for us to be let home. The DR's really didnt want us to go home, yet heard my case and approved it, which was such a relief, I think I may have gone crazy one more night. I have been tired of crying all the time.
I have been under strict orders that we both are to be seen by my GP tomorrow, have many appts to make and meet, mostly for Olivia. I am to see the genetics team, see the pediatrician once or more a month, have a kidney ultrasound next week for little Olivia, as well as a heart ultrasound in January for Olivia and after that a cardiology specialist appt at Westmead childrens appt just after that. Seems as tho we are going to be on the go abit. Also to have my appt with the Physicians in 3mths time.
It has been a bit to take in, which is why I am so glad to now be home just to let things run of my back for a little bit.
Anyway, Olivia is doing really well, she is sooo tiny/petite and just gorgeous. Just loves her cuddles and has this little squeal she likes to give when she wants something. She weighed 5pd 2ounces, 2380grms 47cms long. I will post a pic up soon.
Thanks again all, lots of hugs.
Cheryl
Cheryl,
You're such a brave woman  Big hugs to you and Olivia.... great to hear from you.
I'm sorry the last few days have been a bit of a struggle for you and Olivia... it would be very hard seeing her go through all those tests, how upsetting. She couldnt' have picked a better Mummy though and she knows she is loved.
Been thinking of you heaps over the last few days and I'm glad to hear you and Olivia are back home away from everything.... you must be so worn out.
I will follow Olivia's progress.... wishing you all well over the next few weeks as you have the appointments etc....
I'm so sorry that the stress has not ended with the birth of Olivia. I was concerned when I saw this post go up and it was mentioned that genetics & lots of paeds had been visiting as that didn't happen with Brock even though he was a sick little bub. It's a good sign that she looks like her big bro as it could all turn out to be nothing. As much as it will be stressful I guess in a way it's good that they will be keeping such a good eye on her.
I wish you well with all the appointments as it's going to be a very busy time for you for a while by the sound of it.
Can't wait to see a pic of V.
Congratulations Cheryl!
I was looking forward to an update from you. Glad that you're home and that little Olivia is away from the poking and prodding!! She sounds just gorgeous and she has gotten through so much already I am confident she will get through all these tests well too. Can't wait to see a pic!
Cheryl, Congratulations again!
I am sure, no matter what, Olivia will grow up to reach her full potential - that is being a beautiful, courageous, strong, independant woman.
Can't wait to see pics...I bet she's just stunning!
All the best for the upcoming weeks with all the tests.
Such a brave little girl. She obviously has a special purpose here.

congrats and your in my prayers
Cheryl I'm so glad you're home. You know you're in my thoughts and princess Olivia is in my prayers xxx
Thankyou Georgi, for letting everyone know when Olivia arrived, thanks for being there especially when I thought I was going to go insane whilst in hospital.
Thankyou, Satya, SJ, cm4e, Ren, kristie, it means so much that you are always there. Little Olivia is such a delight, she is such a good sleeper and eats so well. My son just said, Ohh she sleeps alot, I forogt she was here. It doesnt even feel like we have a baby.
Well little Olivia put on 100gm so will be back to her birth weight in no time. We have also booked her first pediatrician appt for Friday next week. My GP couldnt get over that I have the pediatrician I do, as he is very hard to get in to see. She said she doesnt even bother trying for her patients anymore because he is so hard. She said that he is really good and to stick with him now that I have got him. So that was really good to hear. So we now have Thursday next week Kidney U/s and Friday pediatrician, so hopefully the kidney u/s will give good results. :crossfingers: and
Will keep you all informed on how it all goes. Thanks again everyone
Cheryl ~ So glad Olivia is behaving for you! ROFL @ DS forgetting his sister was around! No such luck with Seven, she makes her presence known!
May I ask, what are they looking for with the Renal U/S? I hope it all goes well.
All the Best.

CM4E - Thanks hun, They think that she may have some sort of disorder, although not sure what. They think the disorder they are looking into has something to do with the kidney. She also had an echo in her left ventricle of the heart with my last u/s so they want to check into that as they believe it may not get picked up any other way if there is a problem with her heart. Next week and after that I am sure my heart is going to be in my throat while they do these tests etc, so I am praying that they find nothing wrong at all.
I will be praying for the best of health for her Cheryl! And, even if they do find 'something' amiss with her, it's not going to change the fact that she is yours, and you love her...and so do all of us!!!!!!!!!!
:hugs:
Thanks Kell, she is such a sweety, and just loves being held close. She really takes my breathe away. How is sweet Seven going?
HI All, just wanted to let you know I have finally put pics up of Olivia in the Gallery under Birth Announcements if you want to look. Lots of hugs.
AHHH I can't believe I missed this :(
Firstly, Congratulations on the safe arrival of your beautiful little princess, Olivia. She is absolutely adorable, and you are so right to say she looks just perfect! So beautiful!
I am really sorry to hear that your road of wondering if Olivia is ok hasn't ended. I really hope that all the tests come back fine. I will be thinking of you and Olivia and if you need anything, please let me know, ok?
