Loukas, you poor thing  I hope you are sleeping now... You might not feel like you need the rest but you do.
Thinking of you and little William every day.
Big hugs.
Yay my milk is in. I just got 10ml off the pump. They are increasing his feeds by 3ml each time. He had already had a feed this morning so I jumped on the pump. Finally Someone came and offered some help!!! I've already had my cry today.
TODAY WILL BE A GOOD DAY. More breathing.
Just going to call again and see how he is doing today
I'm glad things are looking a little brighter this morning. You are both in my thoughts.
Yay for milk!! And for increasing his feeds too.
What did the hosp say this morning?
That's awesome news honey! Well done! I had DS1 at Monash in SCN. Hugs and thinking of you.
:( oh honey...I know exactly how your feeling. that things make a turn for the better VERY soon. Try remembering that you have to stay positive and ignore the ********s around you atm (medical staff) and im going to echo Lu...eat and keep your fluids up.
Let me know if you need anyhting honey
YEAH for your milk coming in, and today will be a better day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rest up and keep well!! You are in my thoughts always XXOO
Lou, can you ask whether it's possible to stay in the hospital as a boarder rather than a patient? It was an option for us, but they found it possible to keep me in as a patient for the whole time Sam was in SCN because we were struggling to get my milk to come in and trying to establish breastfeeding. It may not be an option, but it would be worth asking.

Loula, congratulations on the arrival of William.
I'm sorry to hear of all that you have been through, that's juat awful :(
Keep strong & I hope you have your little man home with you soon
Huge hugs Lou, so glad William is improving and yay for your milk coming in. I can understand why he looks like such a boof in NICU, in the photo I got of him he looks so chubby and gorgeous!!
Glad to hear things are looking better....
 Loula
Congrats on the milk! I'm so sorry you aren't being cared for well enough. Hugs for your little boy
I'm thinking of you hun and hoping that things get easier soon  It's great news about your milk hun.
Loula - thinking of you and William. A friend recently had a baby at Jessie Mac and they needed to leave him in hospital when she went home. It was hard, but they got through it and their little man came home about 10 days after birth and they're all doing well. You guys will pull through too
Then, when this is over, you can lay some slapdown on the idiots that haven't been looking after you.
Oh Loula  just saw this thread today. I'll be thinking of you and William and sending lots of *get well* vibes his way! Now don't you worry about not feeling in control and all that... it's your hormones talking! MAssive hormonal shifts are going on right now and leaves even the best of us feeling like total wreaks by day three (post birth). I'm so happy for you about your milk supply and that William feeds like a machine LOL when he is alert! That is such a positive! I really think the main thing now is for you to rest and eat because when it comes time to take William home doing those things might not be so straight-forward ;) I can't wait to update your avvy and put William in your arms.... until then know that we are all thinking of you here in BB as you and William's own personal cheersquad! :bluecheer:
Lou, can I just start with a huge congratulations on the arrival of your much wanted miracle.
I just wanted to leave some hope with you. Samwys passed meconium inutero aswell. I thinkfully had a much more alert MW who the moment she noticed the staining in the waters broke them to try and evacuate the meco and was extremely attentive to Samwys and his APGAR tests when he was born. He unfortuantely had aspirated some meco and it damaged his lung tissue causing his right lung to collapse. He spent some time in NICU in a pure oxygen tank with more tubes and iv's than I care to remember.
He is turning 8 in January. Absolute ox that boy! Strong muscle built buddy. He is so healthy you would never ever pick his poor start.
I know it is so hard to watch now, but it is transient. Once its all taken care of, its gone. Take care of your little man, and yes, talk to him, hold his little hand. Spend every minute you can with him. Babies need their mummies. We comfort them and give them strength.
Thinking of you all!
Congrats on the pumping efforts, Lou. I hope little William's recovery is quick.
